Even if I consider Herod to be more versatile, Oajan is still my favourite from this house. I'd definitely skip it on warmer days though.

Just getting into the frag game and the house that really caught my eye was PDM. Since looking at your reviews I have purchased 6 from this house and this was one of them. Thanks for all you do because I was able to build a solid collection with PMD being the foundation. This scent really is slept on.

I've been looking at getting a discovery set from this house to get more exposure on their less talked about offerings. It seems pegasus and Herod get all the hype. Great review professor. Haircut looking sharp too!

Got my bottle today. I really didn't think that they could top Herod. I am now rethinking that thought. I may just sell my collection and buy 60 bottles. Nah, but I'm lovin' it!!!

Oajan also smells very similar to Dates Delight by House of Oud. Both are power houses for sure. Great review.

What would you say the biggest differences are between the two?

beautiful scent! the tonkabean somehow reminds me of chanel allure homme sport eau extreme.

I own this one and what Steven said is right on! Love this one! I own 8 of Parfums De Marly Fragrances! You never will go wrong with any of there scents! There worth every Pennie! Its not my Top Fragrance house because Dior takes that Cake! But they are tied with second with Tom Ford! But second place is pretty good out of all the houses out there!

How’d gp

This one has been on my scent radar for the past 2-3 years, but I keep pushing back on my impulse to order a sample or bottle because I already have Ambre Narguile and Dolcelisir (which are both fantastic) so it seems a bit redundant. Also, in late 2014 I tried a perfume called Mishal Muzaffar Itarji Ibdaa which I found to be a fantastic clone of Ambre Narguile. I would have ordered a bottle, but it's it's not inexpensive and difficult to find (gotta buy it in someplace like Czechoslovakia or one of the Baltic countries). One of these days! Enjoyed the review!

I have a sample and it was an immediate crush, loved it. It is very strong though so at least for me now way for a casual wear.

Finally get my nose on this and tested some of other scents from PdM. I would say this is a notch better than the rest. Going to save up for this.

I have to give credit to you and Aaron Terrence Hughes for purchasing this fragrance. This is my third PDM fragrance over the last 4 weeks: Herod, Layton, and Oajan. I was able to get the pre-reformulated version of all three which contains 78% alcohol volume!

Great review man, started off hating this one but now its my #2 PdM, so classy and delicious!

I love this fragrance, I'd LOVE to see an Exclusif version that adds a little bit of smoky to it. Which of course would make it masculine, but I could see a smoky note going really well with this.

I am a huge PdM fan. I have Herod, Pegasus, Oajan, Nisean, Godolphin and Shagya. My fav is Nisean. Steven, you have to try & review Nisean.

I love fragrances with smell of cinnamon in it like Dior's Mitzah... really interested in trying this

Oajan sounds amazing and right up my alley.

Huh, I've got 30ml of Oajan and some Ambre Narguile and honestly it doesn't smell that similiar at all in my opinion even though they've got similiar notes. It's rather more similiar to Herod or is that just me? Whatever, Oajan is probably one of the best fragrances ever created. I love well blended honey scents. This one and Back in Black are my new favourites.

You need to get with notimo and convince them to start a system like scentbird. Hopefully they will have a better selection and fresher fragrances

Redolessence so I just got a decanter in and I love love this scent. IMO it smells like a better version of the discontinued D&G By.

It's on my list...have you had the chance to try out Carlisle by PdM?

Got same samples of herod and habdan from nordstroms. Loved the herod. Wearing the habdan today. It's nice, but dont think I will buy it.

Smells like root beer and cinnamon to my nose. Reminds me of a non warm version of Givenchy gentlemen absolute with way less cinnamon with a sort of rootbeer ish type of vibe.

I don't get any similarities between El Born and Oajan. However, I do think that Oajan smells similar to these fragrances: Dolcelisir by L'Erbolario, Ambre Narguile by Hermes, Dates Delight by House of Oud, and Farah by Brecourt. Hopefully you have an easier time locating one of those.

Oh, gosh! That's tough! Habdan is the more original and unique offering, but I love the smell of Oajan!

This one is strange on me! I like the scent character but it actually doesn't perform that well on me. Could just be my skin chemistry or me getting anosmic though. I find it to lean more to the feminine side too so may re-box it and give it to my mum at xmas! I do like it though and the bottle is a stunner.

Much more spice than Carlisle but even amount of sweetness.
