Somebody please explain why... 99% of the comments are saying how ridiculous this is... which leads me to believe 99% of the population understands this is ridiculous... yet things like this still get shoved down our throat and passed as law.

Probably because 99% of the people who commented was attracted to this video. If it were a flat Earth video 99% of the comments may be agreeing the Earth is flat. It’s not an accurate reflection of the general population or of reality. The fact that the scientific, medical, and psychological communities have a different understanding of what’s going on suggests that there’s more going on than what popular culture presumes to be true. As for “shoving it” at people, there’s a marginalized community currently fighting for their rights to healthcare and living life again a concerted political movement to harm them. Being more visible and spreading awareness is one of the ways people have of fighting against oppression and growing awareness and understanding.

At her current stage she’s only socially transitioning. She’s too young for surgery. She’s just being allowed to be herself. After puberty the option of blocking may be applied if necessary. Then when she’s an adult she can consider if surgery is needed. Oh, and therapy is exactly what she’s getting and is what’s guiding her transition.

Terrifying. I feel for the parents, but I think this will end badly.

Children need love, acceptance, and support. What a wonderful family. Beautiful documentary!

It’s amazing to see the parents accept their daughter for who she is. Not everyone going through her situation gets to have accepting people in their lives.

Well, according to the psychologists, this is the most humane and healthiest way of handling this condition. Other approaches causes greater emotional damage and can lead some children to suicidal thoughts and actions. Some parents are closed minded enough that they’d prefer to bury a son rather than raise a daughter. This is the healthier approach.
