Spear was lucky to find a witch that cared about him and Fang enough to save their lives. All she wanted was a child, and the one time she does get one, she loses her to an accidental cliff fall. What a dark story.

Very dark! But if I remember correctly, at the end of the episode, the kind witch is seen to be reunited with her child in the afterlife.

Losing a child is every parent’s worst nightmares. Even I can’t imagine if I ever loose a child of my own. My own heart will be tore apart if that ever happens. That’s why we need to be in constant surveillance for their safety.

Surveillance for kids and keeping them safe is definitely very important, and it shouldn't ever be understated. However, it's also important not to go too far into cloying helicopter parenting mode either - the world may sometimes be a dangerous place, but kids are eventually going to need to be prepared for the world around them at some point. Otherwise, kids may never grow up knowing about the beautiful parts of the world that makes the dangers worth it (and/or worse, become so afraid of the world around them they forget to really live in it).

It’s amazing how this show can tell such profound stories without saying a word.

This was a sad episode but I'm glad in the end the witch reunites with her daughter in the afterlife.

Honestly with the story of this show, you can almost forget that the caveman we see has been used in an episode of Power Puff Girls.

Usually babies are cold after leaving the womb. He was lifting his baby up to the warmth of the sun so he would stop crying and feel comfortable again. He's a very good father.

@Serasia so cool, I honestly didn't know about that. I know experts recommend indirect exposure to sun for close to 20 minutes at a time but that baby looks pretty pleased.

@@Doubtfulgrace101 Yeah, it is! I actually had jaundice when I was a baby and the nurses put me in a clear container (kinda like what preemie babies are kept in) with a special light and some protective eyewear.

Its so funny where the part that spear and Mira was trying to get the eggs to the boat but Fang refuses because she thought they were gonna hurt them or smth

I watched this series for the first time earlier this month, and it's the best thing I've seen on TV in a long time. I hope to see more of Fang and Mira, and can't wait to binge Primal again soon

Parenting seems to be the rarest thing in a world like Primal. Spear lost his children, Fang lost his children, and many others. Maybe the World thought there were enough people in it?

No the fatality rate for children and young was just THAT high back then. It’s just incomprehensible because it’s dropped by like 90% in the past two or so lifetimes aka 100 years.

Like the proud family, where they go full politically racist, and attack people with a different opinion because they are white. Because of the color of their skin.
