Buddy you did the right thing by buying the Honda 90. I’m 37 years old. I got a brand new one when I was 9 in 1993! That thing was rode hard and put up wet! A damn tough machine! My 9 year old son got a new 2019 model for Christmas of 2018! I think it needs a battery now. I didn’t know about that cap on the air box lid, thanks for showing us about that because I’m gonna remove the one on my son’s! I hope Honda never stops making the TRX 90!!!!

I appreciate all the thought you put into this video. I’ve been on the fence between the trx and the raptor 90. You pretty much summed up what was already going through my head. Honda reliability as well as learning on it. Not to mention, I can fix the thing. The automatic tranny and clutch is so much more complicated in my opinion. Thanks for the info.

I have a 96 original owner oil pads and tires are the only things I ever changed on it everyone in my family crashed on it and now it’s my daughters bike still running strong you’ll have that thing for decades

Had the same model in the later 90,s when I was a kid. We beat the crap outta that thing for years me and my buddys were riding that machine in highschool lol. Tough as nails

Did yours come with the idle really low? Bought a 2021 for my grandson and I don’t know the adjustment point if there is even one.

can she shift the gears with her foot? my Yamaha is to hard for son to shift with his foot , he has to reach down with his hand.

My daughter just turned 6. I’m fixing to start teaching her how to ride my son’s 2019 TRX 90. I had a FourTrax 90 when I was 9. I’m now 37! They can’t be beat!!! Tougher than nails!! Only thing bad about them is they’re cold natured. Takes a little while to get warmed up but it’s no big deal.

at 7.5 old would get the Honda 90 turn all way down and will grow into it.

yes

Honda is the only manufacturer that uses its on motors. All the others use chinese motors and transmissions. Kawasaki Kymco etc.

Honda almost sued a Chinese/American brand over the trx90 in the early 2000s. The kazuma falcon 110 is almost an exact clone the plastics swap between them pre 2009. The only difference between the frames was kazuma made the frame 2 inches taller and added a grill to the front plastics. The engine is a typical chinese 110cc 3 speed but is actually quite powerful for what it is.

I have a chinese ATV the engine is a copy of the honda.

and it has a rear foot brake!!!!

With the little one on it. 4th gear from a stop how good do you think it can get uphill. Basically if the child forgets to downshift.

You definitely want to teach the child to absolutely NOT take off in high gear at ANY TIME. The clutches in the engine will burn up and go to slipping. ALWAYS take off in 1st gear no matter what.
