Shinichi Izumi is the main character of the original gisaengsu (comic and film) and is a variant, just like Jung Soo-in Heidi. Close-up of his right hand in the ending scene is because his parasite is in his right hand. :D

As far as I know, Izumi Shinichi is the protagonist in the original manga version of Parasite. He has the parasite called Migi on his right hand. That's why they zoomed in.

They made it pretty clear in previous episodes that every part of a parasite is fully intelligent and capable of shapeshifting, but their disguises all consist of the same biological material whether it's fake hair or fake skin or fake whatever, which is why the test was to take a very tiny piece and see if it would crumble. If you take a slightly bigger piece then both parts will simply stay alive and act separately for a while
