It always brings a smile to my face when I see that a new Chilla's Art game dropped. They always have such a unique take on the horror genre by combining it with everyday situations in Japanese society. Since I lived in Tokyo for 8 years it hits all the more home for me personally.
In Parasocial we play as a Vtuber, which is very cool since that feels quite close to what I do as a KZreadr. I might not livestream or do commentary, but I still felt a connection nonetheless. Things take a turn for the worst when one night our webcam malfunctions and our face is revealed to the chat. From then onward strange things start happening and we start to doubt who we can trust!
Often each Chilla's Art game revolves around a gameplay gimmick and this time you play "games" within the game. It was a very interesting and fun experience to play the maze-like minigames while looking at a computer screen within the game I was playing. It was very meta in that regard.
I also liked that the area you got to explore was quite large and the overal pacing was great too. It is a lot more grounded compared to their previous released Night Security and I am glad to archive another classic within the Chilla's Art's repertoire.

Nice to see the protagonist from the "The Closing Shift" inside the Coffee shop; working at her counter. It proves how she survived her ordeal with the psychopath from her story and is now living in peace. And it is interesting how we see the events from The Convenience Store as a game inside that universe. It shows how all the stories are interconnected to each other in their own ways; whether as entertainment content or as events happening in the same area.

If you look at the back where the guy sits he is there showing she didn't survive Nina just went to the coffee shop before he events happened

@@LunaLuis2571 Nah I think this is in a distant future after "The Closing Shift". Mayumi and Mari (the two girls you eavesdrop on in the café ) are two of the three high school girls that were customers in that game. They were high schoolers back then but now it seems they are in college.

@@LunaLuis2571 Actually, I misunderstood their conversation. Mayumi and Mari are both working adults now. They were reminiscing their time together in high school (which supposedly around the time frame of "The Closing Shift" ) and how it's a bummer they didn't go to the same college. There IS a guy with a hoodie but it could've been another guy because the main stalker in TCS didn't really wore a hoodie iirc. There is that one guy with a hoodie that took photos of TCS' MC but there was also a theory that he was killed by the main stalker.

omg the protagonist from The Closing Shift is at Chilla's Cafe! Even the stalker is there, hooded man, we're one of her customers while she was getting stalked, dang!
I love that you don't talk in your videos. I don't mean that in a rude way. It's just nice to enjoy clean straight forward gameplay with out over bearing commentary. Thank you so much

another game from this developer where you do chores and a creep follows you. this is fetish at this point. game's not even scary, just gross how he always makes the same game, a girl minding her own business and a horny guy follows her.

Stalking is a big problem in Japan, though. I don't think it's fair to call it a fetish when it can raise awareness to the dangers of stalking ( that a lot of times affects young women )

Bro clearly doesn't know about Chilla's Art games. They just started doing the 'stalker' trend because they saw it gave them more.. well .. popularity and yk *money*. these types of games seem to be doing very well from their point of view. Up until now, all of their games were consistently supernatural, now they're more realistic - so to say. Of course, they're based on real issues but they're supposed to be more so a form of entertainment than anything.
