Parashat Yitro 5784 : Torah for the Nations

G-d intended for all people to find spiritual expression and meaning in life through Torah, whether Jew or Gentile. When G-d gave the Torah to Israel at Mount Sinai, He assigned them the task of teaching Torah to all humanity, and held them accountable and responsible for the spiritual welfare of all mankind...this is what it means to be a 'kingdom of priests and a holy nation'.
The Torah portion of Yitro (Exodus 18 : 1 - 20 : 22) is read on Shabbat, Shevat 24, 5784 - February 3, 2024

Thank you, Rabbi Richman! I now have a new understanding about our responsibility as Jews, how we are in partnership with Hashem, and what being “chosen” really means. Torah is truly for everyone, your teachings bring the truth of Torah to all! Peace and Blessings! Shabbat Shalom!

I've often had premonitions of being there at Sinai. I was born at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore MD. If all lived by the Torah there would be global peace.

Absolutely Rabbi, I know l was there. Once I read in Torah, Vayikra/Leviticus 8:33 that Aaron and his 2 sons stayed in the Tent of Meeting for 7 days, and I knew that I had to do it to. I literally and spirituality I put myself into the Tent of Meeting for 7 days. Wow, I prepared myself with prayer before entering and how awesome of an experience it was. I experienced profound spiritual breakthroughs and came out with a deeper understanding of life itself. Whenever I feel the need, I journey in my spirit, in my ship of the imagination to the wilderness. To that place which is not bound by space-time and I'm riding on pulses of energy Hashem creates in my mind, fuges of the holy spark firing illuminate this infinite soul the journey a personal odyssey new pathways new dimensions unfold. Thank you Rabbi

❤️🔥 Rabbi what a blessing it is to hear you and now see you once again from many many years ago when I listened to Israel National Radio and was a fan of the show and so many amazing rabbis and blessed spokespeople that inspired the channel and became an inspiration! As a non-Jew I love learning from all of your wisdom and was very blessed when I heard of all of your achievements and incredible dedication to the temple and the prophecies thereof! May you be greatly blessed in your awesome dedication to His service as you have already moved mountains that only He and His angels will be able to sing of one day when he heavens speak of His glories and the amazing people that chose to be a part of His story! Many blessings Rabbi and thank you for sharing with the rest of the world of His greatness and beauty of His story, His people and those who choose to follow Him! Shema Yisrael! 🔥 🇮🇱 ❤️

❤️💯😳🥴 when this one ponders the Jewish Nation, preserving the Israelite Nation's law, this one is deeply appreciated. 💯❤️. It's so difficult to receive Turah/Torah lifestyle given with a hint of hatred. But, when the law is given in perfect love it helps the individual waiting to receive healing and power to be the living Turah/Torah becomes sustainable and reasonable to do. Thank you for such a clear path and way to see the plight of the first born of all families. This one is understanding, the tree of life is the wisdom of the CREATOR OF ALL. (No right or wrong, just what comes and is). The tree of the knowledge of right or wrong, only produces discord. Thank you ABBA FATHER FOR THE SEED OF LIFE....help this one to plant the seed of life. Not the seeds of discord.😮😊💯❤️🥴😳

Thank you so much, Rabbi! Your teachings are always so brilliant! I have an understanding that dovetails with yours and would appreciate your thoughts. Since YHVH makes the distinction of saying to Moses, "Tell the sons of Jacob and the House of Israel," does this mean that the Children of Israel are not just Jewish, but all those who commit to DO DO DO the commandments? We all know that the commandments are full of God's eternal wisdom. When we obey and do them, we are then blessed with His natural blessings - as in, when we don't murder one another, we create a safe world and also His supernatural blessings -- when we live in a safe world and don't have to worry about defending our lives, we can hear His instructions and use our specific gifts and talents and fulfill our purpose to bring beneficial things into the world like inventions, science, businesses that provide services and employ people so they can eat and survive, etc. Also, through psychology, we can now understand how honoring the spiritual commandments will bring about the Tikkun. For example, do not to murder means don't lash out in anger, criticize, force our children to be something that they are not, and love our neighbor as yourself etc. Do not murder someone's spirit. If we were to be as faithful about not murdering another's spirit as we are about not murdering their bodies, we would create a kind and peaceful world (and circumvent physical violence). But we can ONLY do these spiritual mitvots with God's help. But YHVH will help us if we go through the process given to us in Torah and the Festivals. By His grace, we can bring about the Tikkun through our actions of performing the spiritual mitvots and then we will live in God's Kingdom on earth.

Romans 3:1-2 What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? 2 Much in every way! First of all, the Jews have been entrusted with the very words of God.
