In this episode, You will be visiting with me to one of the offbeat locations of Himachal Pradesh known as Parashar Lake. Named after the Indian Sage Parashar, this lake along with a temple of Rishi Parashar is situated 50 kilometres uphill from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Beautifully located among the Deodar and Pine trees and surrounded by hills from all sides, this picturesque spot is often missed by tourists. But in my view, tourists visiting Manali must make it a point to include it in their travel itinerary as the road journey to the lake is itself one of the most beautiful journeys that one can have in his lifetime in India. After spending so many hours in reaching the lake due to the bad road condition as I visited it after the devastating flood in Mandi area, I must say that this is one of the most beautiful journeys I ever had in my life in India.
