I love that on 9:07 , PJ doesn't even try to get the ball and then Parappa just REALIZES that the ball is taken and he says "it has been taken"

Watched this entire series with some friends on discord, we can't get enough of Gaster and Groobers goofy dynamic and all the stupid cliche sound effects, it really bonded us closer together. I had to go back to my dads house today, but we finished the whole series the day before, and it was a really sweet farewell treat. We're looking forward to rewatching again next year. TYSM for uploading this dude.

Yeah that's kind of crazy when you think about it. But there are some voice actor in Japan join the industry while they're very young. Example, Miyu Irino - voice actor of Perappa born in 1988 and joined the industry in 1992.

Manually implementing subtitles to a video (especially with a length of 20 minutes) is very time-consuming, since it requires thorough focus to calculate the time of every single subtitle, making sure it syncs properly with the actual video and also correcting any incomprehensions in the actual translation. Additionally, I am not able to dedicate as much time as I would want to this project at the moment, because of many other tasks and projects that I'm currently running. I love it when there's no rappin or no trouble, just pure peace in Parappa Town I like it

For those feeling "thrown off" by the swears in the subtitles (which by the way are also fooling a lot of people into thinking the series actually swears), the translator took some *really* unnecessary liberties with the subtitles. For example, Katy's "infamous" line in japanese: "Nanda no kono onna?" Which can be translated as: "Who is this woman? / Who does this woman think she is?" But for some reason, the translator added some unnecessary swears to it, leaving it as: "Who the hell does this bitch think she is?!" So yeah, the original lines don't say stuff like "hell" or "bitch" lol

Considering what the internet has done to purge the shit out of this word, it doesn’t feel right hearing the word Oni Chan in a parappa anime

I honestly don't know why 4kids or Tonami, or some American Broastcasting network never picked up this show for a dub or localization, it probably would have been SOOOO popular due to Parrapa 2 being a big hit in the West. I guess it was too Japanese for people's taste.

I know this comment is old, but I believe the overall reception that the show got in japan might have played a factor in why it was never dubbed in the U.S. The anime didn't exactly do too well in japan from what I've heard so they probably decided from there that it wasn't worth bringing a dub over.

@@JBarista08 Well granted, Sonic has always been a very popular and well-known franchise in the U.S. so it was a given that the anime would receive a dub in the west even if the show itself didn't do all that great in japan, which I am pretty familiar with the anime not doing as well there when compared to western countries. Plus it's probably not a 100% fair comparison considering the circumstances were probably different since sony was the one responsible for this anime. It also probably didn't help that from what I understand, Um Jammer Lammy and Parappa 2 didn't sell as well as the first game which probably didn't help matters in this anime not getting a dub over here. (Not saying that those games flopped, all I know is that they didn't sell as many copies as the first game did.) Of course I'm just speculating here so it's hard to say.

My favorite part is when PaRappa said “I gotta believe” and believed all over the place

Im glad this lost masterpiece has been saved!

I'm looking forward to correcting the subs on the first few episodes. For the most part, they're correct, but there are a few errors. For example, at 3:43 , it says that Sunny said, "I'm hoping that you can come," but she actually asked him if he could hold her bags for her.
