Paragliders are like sailplanes, no motor. Powered paragliders (aka. PPG, aka. paramotors) have a propeller. People who have access to hilly terrain usually prefer a standard paraglider because it folds into a backpack. But in flat regions the motor is a must. BTW, in Switzerland paramotors are banned. Of course the entire country consists of the Alps :-)

+BlackHawk Paramotor And I thought I had it bad! WTG Russ. Yeah it's a battle getting back on your "feet" Yes, pun intended as Russ knows when a survivor speaks about getting back up he knows we are NOT making fun but doing the cheer leading from the wards! But, fun I have found out damn sure does help in the quality of life many paralyzed people of all types or any disabled from war or accident don't get unless they either do as Russ and did not give up and do crazy things like base jumping or other things that get the endorphin's moving in the brain which them and add a lot of good laughs will do wonders for the body OR are drug out by the short hairs to get their attention and to wake them up that all isn't lost if the brain is working! You lived so don't give up as that can be a very lonely and dark place! I know, I opened the door and backed the hell out fast! Russ didn't either! He ran from that room! We all try to do. Thanks BlackHawk.That IS one out standing job! Now, let the VA know as I have about how a paraglider helped! I'll have to add a few other 'wind powered flying things' that also helped where regular therapy failed! Just ask. Blue Sky's and Safe Journeys!
