The scene where the time jumps after she is dragged into the basement is possibly the most tariffing part of the whole series because you have no idea what's happening to her down there or what's going to come out when it eventually opens up again.

I know it's literally years later, but I recently started watching horror movies after getting an audio compressor. I have audio sensitivity issues, so I never could watch them before. My dread was purely on if another loud sound was going to happen and if I was going to basically black out from it. With the audio compressor, those jump scares are the same volume as everything else. Horror movies most of the time are more funny than scary now. It's incredible just how much they rely on fear of loud, startling sounds or flashes and not on being actually scary.

Yeah me too. For horror movies, the only thing about them that affects me is the loud and sudden noises rather than the monsters or demons. When I mute the sound for them then I'm not scared at all.

Man there’s that memory of watching this with my father in the cinema. That first part where she got dragged I felt him jump up and I laughed about it. My father is a 6’5 over 250 pound guy and it was funny seeing and feeling him jump up like that. After the movie I kept on bugging him about it and he was just like “I didn’t get scared… I just got itchy” hahaha. This film was great in the cinema.
