Adam Pearce Sounds Good a great song ! I was in a Punk Band in HS my friend and the drummer and I started . We played Keg parties some good size ones and one very big on he beach in the back of a house off PCH was a lot of fun. We were called D.A.M.M. Drunks Against MADD mothers. No offence and not against the Mothers but with how big they were going in the mid to late 80's A GOOD MAME FOR OUR PUNK BAND Paying keg parties. The crowd liked the song and 5-6 guys came through from different areas and directions to the woood porch off the sand anto bang their heads on it we were using for a stage. It is a great feeling like on a drug that is not bad like they can be. I played Guitar too and sang. Good memories playing my Les Paul (The Paul in front of my Full Stack and had a 350 watt 6 channel mixer with large speakers for vocals and to mic the band and drums into 1 channel with a non powered mixer it worked well for us. THAT IS WHAT LEMMY KILMISTER RIP BASS nd singer from MOTORHEAD!SAID.I waslucky one night to be taken to see Motorhead sHOW WITH BACKSTAGE by a nice man that worked in front of a nice 2 story night club I booked bands AT AFTER THEY PLAYED BACKSTAGE lEMMY SAID THEIR MUST BE SOMPLACE GOING ON BETTER THAN THIS AROUN HERE! i SAW ONLY SHRUGING SHOULDERS FROM THE 14 OR SO OTHERS IN THE CLEAN BUT PLAIN AREA. i KNEW OF A PLACE CLOSE TO tHE VENUE WE WERE tHE cELEBRITY tHEATER IN aNAHIEMCA. i WALKED UP TO HIM AND SOAI i HAD A SUGJESTION hE ASKED WHATS THAT ? i REPLIED ITS A BIG BAR NEAR HERE A COUPLE POL TABLES DRINKS ARE NOT BAD AND THE GIRLS DO NOT PESTER YOU FOR MONEY MUCH. hE LOOKED A LITTLE PUZZLED WITH THAT SO IM FINISHED WITH MAFTER DANCINGTOPPLESS THAT IS ! lEMMY SAID SOUNDS GOOD LRTS GO AND MOST DID . i SAT AT A TABLE WITH MIM SIPING A FEW BOURBON AND COKES AND JACK AND COKES MY FAV FOR AN HOUR WITH OUT INTERUPTIONSi TOLD HIM i THOUGHT MOTORHEAD HAD A GOOD PUNK SOUND TOO WITH IT THE STUFF PLAYED TIGHT AND YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT THE LYRICS SANG ARE NOT THE THRASH KIND THE GOOD PUNK ROCK HE SMILED AND NODDED YEA HAPPY TO HEAR THAT WITH AGREEMENT hEARING HIM SAY i WAS SMART IT WAS GOOD TALKING TO SOMEONE THAT KNOAS WHATS REALLY GOING ON TO ME FROM HIM I WILL NOT FORGET HEARING HIM ON interview video later saying if not for our long hair you might ythink we were a punk band. He played a song I saw on video and motorhead plays a song named Ramones and his intro sounds like he kew them I have heard he dated some and saw him on a video performin music with Wendy O Williams with the Plasmatics too. Henry Rollins the singer after Kieth Morris for black Flag was very happy to meet him too He was a good moraled man who livedd the way he wanted and performed that way liked his fans for keeping him mqking ND PERFORMING HE LOVED AND DIS SO WELL UNTILL THE END. i BELIEVE HE IS IN THE BETTER BPLACE WHEN WE PASS FOR MULTIPLE REASONS! rip IANFRASER /LEM,MY KILMSTER/NICKNAMED GOD! on a stage downstairs and multiple bands upstairs with mostly PUNK BANDS + SOME GO GO DANCERS. WE HAD A DJ for a large dance room downstars too with Tony Largo from MARS FM . downstairs just a blues band or a few hippie style /dead style bands and one night I had Top Jimmy the guy from the Van Halen song about Top Jimmy & THe Rythem Pigs upstairs had some good shows from the 1st night . IT WAS A FRI NIGHT MY FRIEND AND i HAD AND THE 1ST FRI WE STARTED WAS RIGHT BEtWEEN THE OP PRO 7 usopen week long surf ccompititions held at the city north of our clubs location at THE huntington PIER EVERY YEAR INTIL 86 WITH THE RIOT NOT LIKE A BLM KIND NO LOOTED OR BURNED BUISNESSES THAT ARE SURF SHOPS . iT WAS BACK WHEN THOAE WATCHING NEW WHO WAS COMPETING AND THERE TO SEE THEM COMPETE ! a COUPLE OF THE BIKINI CONTESTENTS SHOWED US IN THE STANDS THEIR DOUBLE BUBBLES AND THE POLICE WERE BUSTING THEM. That caused then to get food beer drinks rained on them. They were getting too ruff on a young man not doing anything that fired it up. A police care or two were set fire one guy hoped on one of their ATC's and took off doqn the bACH A Ways and police were hittting those the could with batons. SAD THING IS THE hb police would come out on 4th of july in riot gear for years after beating people at parties just standing in front of houses maybe drinkin a beer not being bad at all! I was happy to live in Newport beach where they did not. THATS WHERE THE NIGHTCLUB WAS TOO. the THUNDERBIRD . it was shut down for good witth th big lit sighn that hung from the roof still there for 15 years . WISH i WOULD HAVE GOT IT. had GOLDFINGERS 1ST oc SHOW i got the hook up from a porn star I was on a blind date with , that was a friend of theirs and joined the guy who had Sun night at the empire ballroom in COSTA mESA WHEN GETTING CLOSED . i BOKED bURNIING gROOVE A GREAT BAND i LIKED SHOWED UP AND SAW ME AND SAID oh THIS IS FOR YOU the good promoter . I did pay all the bands what I said when booking them and other stuff they got too. having the firstr night between yhe contests I lived on the border of aHB & Newport beach next to the river across PCH from River Jeties on the little kind of backi bay area on the water nice big yard & dock no acess to the ocean but had a zodiac a canoe etc.. 7& great wAVES WHEN THEY DREGED THE RIVER DUMPING IT WITH A BIG PIPE MOVING NORTH SLOWLY CREATING CONSISTANT BIG WAVES WITH LONG FREIGHT TRAIN LEFTS FROM 73RD TOWER ACCROSS THE RIVER TWO GAURD TOWERS INTO HB WAS GREAT
