Parang La Ep. 02 - Reaching Tsomoriri
This video the second and the final episode of the Parang la speed hike. The 110 km long Parang la trek is indeed a beautiful trek containing river crossings and long traverses.

Thank you sir. 🙂 We came back hitch-hiking after the hike. I really wanted to do the Tso Moriri to Tso Kar trail but Sumedh got blisters and Ashok was quite tired after the hike. We took a cumulative call to plan the extension later. I did the Pang to Tsomoriri on 28-29th August but was not able to hike further towards Tso Kar because of undesirable weather conditions. It was very cloudy and the slopes above 5000 meter were not visible. So I came back to Manali once again from Tsomoriri. I wish to do the PangPo la (5400 m) trail now that connects Sarchu with Tsomoriri. 🙂

Amazing landscapes amidst the wilderness which is rare to find as we find ourselves connected with roads and surrounded by construction of every type...the only spoiler was road at Rupshu plain which abruptly brought me back to the so called civilized world from a dreamland...
@Creedaz

With time, there will be more road constructed. That's what development is defined as. It do feels sad to see trails vanish and roads taking over but I guess it is a process. Creation implies Destruction. Even road has its importance for the people of the land.
What an experience!

Hello! 😌 Very informative. Covering the entire trail like a timeline and its most interesting portions. I also make videos just for memory in the treks I go, and found a lot of similarities with your pattern and comments. Loved the way you pointed out the garbage sections as well. They send a message. I am looking forward to one of Parang La, Kang La or Pin Parvati in the next year. Can you put a little light as to how will the landscape be in July? At the same time, what major difference can a trekker expect among these three almost similar type treks?

You go through all trekking site, this trek is planned as 10-12 days trek but you guys look superhuman to complete in 3 days. Even after proper acclimatisation it’s very hard to complete 25KM in steep descent and ascent of 1900m.

I am able to do the treks at a fast pace because I focus a lot on trek planning. I spend hours figuring out the best way to do a hike. Navigation, backpacking, nutrition management on trail and other aspects help me push through the beautiful Himalayan landscape at a good pace. But yes, I will also say that I feel lucky and the mountain gods have always kept me on their side.
Absolutely loved this video. 🤩 Especially your campsite near Tso Moriri lake. Manav can this trek be done in autumn? Sept/oct?

Is it totally safe to do this trek by your own,as there might be some stretches in between where snow leopards and brown bears sightings are a common thing. Also did you guys have any such experience??
@Creedaz
2 жыл бұрын
Snow leopard is a shy animal and they will prefer a much remote area. It would be impossible to spot one on these trails. Brown bears would prefer a warmer region in the Kibber wildlife sanctuary and this region is NOT know for wild bears. There is hardly any food for a wild carnivore. Further, animals have zero interest in humans. So hiking is pretty safe, at least the Parang la hike will be free of human-animal conflicts.
