The fact that they took down the audio only means that they own that specific audio and it wasn't because of the footage being used. This is 100% legit

They did the one thing they really shouldn’t have. They basically confirmed it’s real to us now, LOL. I’m actually really damn glad this happened.

Funny thing is that Paramount just cannoned the uncensored episode of Sailor Mouth without even saying a word.

I'm getting flashbacks to a couple years back when That live-action Powerpuff Girls script got leaked, people thought it was fake because it was so bad, and then it got copyright struck. Even after the copyright strike, people continued to argue its legitimacy, but THEN it was announced that the live action remake was going to go through a script rewrite.

Techincally you are free to upload copyrighted stuff to the archive, which does not really care if it is copyrighted or not, but if they receive a complaint about copyright they will remove the at issue material. The archive has to comply with copyright laws but most companies don't really go after them because it just makes the companies look bad as if they were "erasing history" (something Nickelodeon should've seen coming). Edit: the archive does have to obey the law, even though they are just keeping a record of everything on the internet.

I THINK I'M THE REASON WHY IT GOT TAKEN DOWN... Because yesterday was StocktonCon, and I showed those uncensored Sailor Mouth voice clips to TOM KENNY HIMSELF, and he was surprised and said it was real. But he said that the "you fuckface" voice line was unused and intended for a deleted scene of the episode.

If Paramount blocks a gem like SpongeBob legit cursing, it's 100% canon.

I think Paramount might have bigger problems now than just the original uploads. More people might have gotten their hands on the uncensored Sailor Mouth audio, and that means more people wanting to have it publicly online.

Why would Paramount be so scared of letting fans hear the line "Bow me!"? Most who saw the episode when it first came out are now adults and they should realize that if something is on the internet it stays on the internet forever.

It would be funny to see an uncensored version pop up on DVD as a hidden bonus feature, but that won't happen. Maybe?

Dear Princess Celestia, Today I have learned that Paramount apparently has not heard of the Streisand effect.

I really don't understand why Internet Archive, a site all about preservation, is one of those "we let the corporations draw the line" sites like KZread. True preservation keeps things preserved even if there is a party desperate to erase them from existence. Though this makes a bit more sense than other examples, as these lines were never meant to be heard. But Internet Archive also actively blacklists most Nintendo EU domains presumably at the company's behest, dooming years of Nintendo history to be lost media, including the 2000s Mario Megasite. That stuff was originally publicly available, so that REALLY makes no sense that they let Nintendo scrub it from history. I'd argue most lost media is "copyrighted" by a party that wants it to stay lost, so a site popular for preserving that sort of thing taking a stance like this is really weird.

Goes to show how reliable the marking for kids is. For example, I came across a couple of Beastars (Netflix show with TV-MA rating) videos that were marked for kids yet showed clips from the show that contained sexual content and nudity.

Now all we need is Earthbound 64 space world demo to get leaked and my life is complete for lost media

Ngl, the "You F### Face!" Sounds a lot more angrier in tone, the only times we hear SpongeBob sweat was when they didn't know they were bad words, and the one where he was playing the board game. The only time he swore in that tone (that I remember) was when he lost the board game, which was leaked. Something tells me the F bomb was either fake or not in the uncensored version.

That specific upload of the files is blocked, but the files are still accessible and they aren't lost. I forget the link, but there were zip files titled SPONGEBOB1, SPONGEBOB2, and SPONGEBOB3 that has various leaked stuff from SpongeBob (some old, some new), including the Sailor Mouth audios

I propose to raid Nickelodeon and find the entire episode in the archives 👹

Paramount probably thinks they are protecting the popular image of SpongeBob by doing this. But this being out there doesn’t really do much since it’s leaked audio that was edited out at the time, and thus never in any episodes of the show.

if it is real it may have been used in a different scene other than the eels and escalators. Another possibility is that its still ai but paramount / Nickelodeon pulled a disney (i.e. doesn't like it when people post things claiming to be real material when infact its not). What would clarify this is if Bondi can tell us how he came across these recordings.
