Paramotor training for powered paragliding starts with excellent glider control. Most people take 6 full days of glider control from a true master to get up to a good solid level of skills. Paraglider control is everything in the sport. If you get into the air without properly learning to control the glider you will not have the skills it takes to actively control the glider in adverse conditions or respond correctly to basic issues or scenarios. You can watch people all over youtube taking collapses on paragliders and pounding into the ground. Without WPPGA training to really master control of the glider you are 5000 times more likely to take a collapse and it is flat out impossible for you to respond correctly in an emergency. Proper response takes reflexes. To build reflexes to respond correctly takes many hours of really good training from a master pilot that really knows what they are doing. Zero people have ever died in the WPPGA with proper training and on approved equipment. This is the safest form of personal aviation ever devised IF you learn from WPPGA approved instructors. Because it is an unregulated sport though where you don't need a license to fly or even to act as an instructor the vast majority of those acting as instructors in the sport really have no clue what they are doing. There is even a complete scam called the usppa that pretends to "certify" people are pilots. These fake instructors have often never had a day of proper instruction in their lives or have been poorly trained by other fake instructors. The usppa scam is responsible for almost 100% of the serious injuries & deaths in the sport in the USA. This scam is so incredibly evil they even setup numerous fake websites to bash, trash and lie about the very best instructors and safest equipment in order to discredit those that really do know what they are doing. So needless to say you want to check the skills of your instructor before you train with someone for powered paragliding. That is why youtube is great since you can watch videos of people fly and instructors teach and quickly see very clearly who knows what they are doing and who doesn't. SUPERDELL is the best paramotor pilot and instructor in the world as you can see all over youtube and then there are many other really skilled WPPGA instructors that really care about taking the time to train people properly. The WPPGA is really nice because not only do you have to have a mastery level of skills to even be an instructor but you also have to follow best practices of paramotoring instructor in order to maintain WPPGA credentials so you know if someone is WPPGA that they actually are doing what they should be and if you have any issue where they don't they will be dropped as an instructor.
Paramotoring is really the funnest and safest ultralight sport there is as long as you get the right gear and training. So watch the videos closely and see who really had the skills as getting the very best instructor possible is absolutely critical in the outcome of your experience in the sport.
If your ready to take your first flight, Super Training is my 10-day paramotor training school where I personally take you from never having touched the glider to a master pilot in only 10-days. I do 5 training classes a year with 15 students a class down in Corpus Christi, Texas. I've been running these training classes for 18 years and have trained over 700 students safely.

    Wow! This was truly remarkable! I teach High School and watching this just made me realize just how great you are at what you do. Teaching is indeed a challenge. However, your skills are even more impressive since you are teaching them lifesaving skills. Well done Mr. Shanze! I know this video was filmed years ago, but I am just now seeing it. I am sure by now he is well on his way to being the next one in line to start creating more super pilots. Please tell him congratulations. I will be signing up for your training next summer. I look forward to meeting you in person and shaking Troy's hand. I have only flown a few times because I was self taught and got freaked when my wing collapsed on my 3rd flight at about 20 feet up. Needless to say, I hit the ground hard and luckily did not break anything. I haven't tried since. The winds were too high and I was also using my uncle's wing, which was outdated. I'd really like to try again.

    Thank you. Yes SUPER Troy is absolutely incredible and just set a world record as the youngest pilot in history to do a wing tip drag. He is one of my assistant instructors. He also set the record as the youngest tandem instructor when he was just 13 years old. He has never crashed like that as the skill and right gear truly make a huge difference. Just call 800-707-2525 to reserve a spot. We have a total blast at SUPER training.

    That's an 8sm Speedmaster Rocket and the wind is blowing 12-16mph. The 8sm is pretty tricky because it is quite twitchy. So it is actually quite difficult. The 14sm is much easier but it would drag him away in that high of winds. It is pretty fun to watch him kite on his own like that. Too cool.

    I agree with you on teaching the younger ones to fly a unit you could put in the trunk of your car or pickup, because, when WROL/SHTF happens, we need that asset to assess a situation from the air and convey that info to the Ham Radio communications people along with Medical caregivers as well! I've got low-level FEMA certification, but, I need to get training on the PPG unit I bought years ago. Being in Ohio, I may go with FlightJunkies.com. They're just closer.

    Just in our last class you can actually see a guy who first went to flightjunkies. They don't have any instructors, capt kirk thinks chucking you into the sky without teaching you how to control the thing is training. It is a nightmare. Absolutely don't even think about going there. If you want to do the things you see in our videos you need to get the same gear and training we use. It is really sad the mess those like kirk have made of the industry. He isn't even a pilot let alone an instructor and has never had a day of proper training in his life but is out there pretending to be an expert. I actually witnessed a "demo" he did in Florida where he flew into a rotor and crashed right in front of those he was trying to prove his expertness to. His whole Fresh Breeze exploded as the cage flexed back into the prop and self destructed. So it is really critical in this sport to get with real people that actually do know what they are doing. Just watch our over 550 videos and don't make the huge mistake of thinking for a second that you can do the same thing without getting the right gear and training. Call 800-707-2525. It's your LIFE.

    Is there any safety such as helmet or something for this sport?

  • @DellSchanze

    @DellSchanze

    2 жыл бұрын

    No it makes zero sense to wear a helmet on a hot beach all day. Do you wear a helmet when you go jogging on the beach? Jogging is much more dangerous than kiting a small glider. So it's pretty silly to suggest people wear a helmet on sand. In fact it's more dangerous as the lines can snag on their helmet and snap their neck. So they are much better off without a helmet for kiting.

    No there is simply no replacement for my sheer level of experience. So it's worth every bit to just come to the US and take SUPER training directly. While I can turn people into absolutely incredible pilots there is still just no replacement for my level of experience and speed in knowing what is going to happen before it happens giving time to give proper input to the student with enough warning for them to fix the problem. You just don't want to train anywhere else.

  • @DellSchanze
    @DellSchanze10 жыл бұрын

    That's why you need to train with experienced pilot that know you are more likely to snag lines on your helmet and have it wrench your neck that to need the helmet for impact protection. You are also more likely to get sun stroke and dehydration from a hot helmet on a hot beach than needing the helmet to protect you. That glider is capable of 40+ mph with that loading. If you are not an expert you shouldn't be giving advice. No helmets are not the be all of safety in this sport.

    Because it allows people to practice the basic skills without getting drug all over the place or popped off the ground with every gust. Plus it allows people to kite in much much higher winds so you have a much wider range of wind conditions you can use for training. Then as their skills progress we move them to larger and larger gliders. Then once they get flying it goes the other way. They start with larger gliders and work their way back down to flying smaller and smaller gliders. We have tons of different gear at SUPER training for every stage of training.

  • @DellSchanze

    Kiting is not the key. SUPER training is. You can kite for years and years but you still won't be able to do what SUPER students can do because without all the correct and perfected details of glider control you just end up practicing things wrong and backwards. I get this question a lot actually. People think they can just buy a wing and start practicing but that would be like buying a karate GI and trying to practice karate before you get any lessons. It just doesn't work. Come do it right like SUPER Troy and then like SUPER Troy you can also have truly incredible skills like his: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hYqYxsSDYsK7cbQ.html sadly far too many totally ruin the sport for themselves by doing things like trying to kite on their own. Please come get SUPER training BEFORE you try to kite any wing at all. Very few who do anything other then this end up totally ruining the sport for themselves and they simply never recover. Call me at 800-707-2525.

  • @DellSchanze

    You can't afford NOT to get SUPER training. Lose control of the glider and drop it in your prop and you can do $2500-$6500 damage over and over and over. So it's completely absurd to try to pretend $2500 for training is too much. All those who try to skimp on SUPER training end up ruining the whole sport for themselves as they trash so much gear they can't afford to fix it and they just end up quitting the sport because it just isn't fun trashing gear. So no don't even think about pretending it costs less to try to learn from a video. That's like watching a bruce lee movie and then challenging 20 armed terrorists to a fight.

    Poor people are only poor because of foolish decisions like pretending they can skip SUPER training to save money. Then they destroy their gear and spend more repairing it then it would have cost to buy all brand new gear and get the best training in the world. Or like the guy in Virginia who thought he could save a few hundred by getting a crappy paramotor instead of the Flat Top. First time he fired up the Aviator PPG pile of crap he went right through the flimsy netting into the prop shredding his hand, ripping his thumb off and tearing the nerve out of his arm all the way up to his shoulder. He lost use of his entire arm just because he thought he could save a few bucks ignoring the best pilot and instructor in the world. Foolishness is what makes people poor. Those who work smarter and harder know it pays to always get the very best right up front. if you can't afford the best then save up until you can. Those with Flat Tops & SUPER skills can make all sorts of money in zillions of different ways because they will have a truly incredible aircraft with unlimited possibilities. Those who get crap gear and skip SUPER training end up with nothing but a hole in their pocked where their money all went in the toilet. Just like James for example. He took SUPER training but then thought he could save a few bucks getting blackhawk gear. They told him it was so much better then the Flat Top and more powerful but when he got it and tried to launch his 250 lb body at 6000 ft where he lives he literally couldn't get the blackhawk crap off the ground. He tried over and over and over destroying props and cage pieces and everything else in the process but the crap gear just didn't have enough power or lift to even get him off the ground. He lost thousands and thousands having to pay for all the repairs to the crap and then dumping it for less then half of what he paid. He ended up getting a Flat Top and now flies over the 12,000 ft mountains no problem but he lost a fortune getting scammed by blackhawk first. One should learn form the mistakes of others so they don't have to go through the same thing.

    Bodhi Tripathi you get the SUPER training and all the best gear from www.u-turnusa.com there is a link to it in the description of this video. It's absolutely critical that you only go to U-Turn USA because it is the only paragliding/paramotoring school in the world that make sure students completely learn to fly the glider BEFORE you get into the sky. It is a total nightmare elsewhere as others will literally chuck you into the sky without a bit of training and no ability at all to truly control the glider. So if you can't get SUPER training you really do not want to get into the sport because your experience will be nothing at all like what you see in our videos. The gear is just as life & death critically important. Call 800-707-2525 and talk to the experts. The most important thing you can do in this sport is LOOK at the skill levels of whom you are talking to as you do not want to take advice from the wrong people.
