mann keep rhino inside sequel going! would love to know how an alucobond envelope, would wrap on a blob stucture would hapen, with each panel, going to lazercutting, and fabrication later on!
I Love this. All I want is more Rhino.Inside Revit

I have a few slowly cooking~
I think Rhino.Inside is probably ideal to play with. Few people seem to be testing it like you are and it really only came out a year and a bit ago. I went over the entire manual and found it made bring geometry across as native elements really easy which means where we were limited in the past now there's huge potential for Rhino/Grasshopper to fill those gaps now and not with clunky DWG 3D files.

There still are quite a few limitations when it comes down to native components (that are inherently driven by the lack of flexibility on Revit side) but things are definitely moving in the correct direction

@@DesignGoBrr Check the guide Scott Davidson put out. Following their basic tutorials it was easy to take anything from 3D stock libraries and push it into Revit as Native solid geometry with Materials. I'm specifically looking at problems we have in Landscape Architecture AND that most people in that field are using Handsketch, AudoCAD and Sketchup. I have way more access to material data in Rhino although it seems I couldn't find a way to write hatch patterns, which in landscape is an essential tool. I'm currently trying to master topography and paths/road generation before I go much deeper. One thing at a time and hopefully I can eventually Automate much of the process in Revit via Grasshopper.
Awesome
Thanks a lot, really hoping you explore more components of this plugin.
Rhino is one of the most popular architectural tools due to its innovative features and accurate modeling, Grasshopper has an open source mode where developers can develop plug-ins. In a nutshell, it's time for the Mcneel guys to work on these simple Revit-based features that can be easily used for architectural purposes. Specifically in gen R8!✨

It seems that with Rhino 8 they are focusing on mesh functionality as well as blocks, which should enrich the Rhino-Revit workflow drastically
yes more of this. It would be great to integrate into structural practice.

The problem that I'm not a structural engineer, so a lot of statements from me would be pretty naive/surface level

@@DesignGoBrr im aware but the general workflow is still useful since we use rhino/ Revit too. I don't see enough engineers use rhino inside Revit especially since we use rhino a lot for complicated structures that are iterative in nature in a perfect world the architect and engineer would.coordinate in rhino before documenting in Revit

@@nascentnaga Yup, that's true
Interesting and useful, yes. It related to the previous videos which is great. The Rhino to Revit model translation was very streamlined or has become so more recently. Will be looking to use it more in my work

You are proficient in those softwares, and I wanna ask whether you could make Maya tutorial for advanced architecture modeling.
@DesignGoBrr
Жыл бұрын
Nah, I tried using Maya for a few projects 7 years ago, didn't like it at all. Has same issues as Blender for Architectural Design.
Is it possible to create a video showcasing how to create a normal family … such as a table that you can modify its parameters in Revit independent from Rhino … of course using Rhino.Inside non the less … would be much appreciated

Hi! Either by following-along with the tutorial, or by becomming a patreon member and gaining access to all (mostly all) of the material that I've produced for this channel
I'm a professional in the architecture industry doing this kind of work on a daily basis. Your top tier in terms of integration and understanding at this time. Do you currently do professional architecture work?
@DesignGoBrr

These days I'm not doing professional architecture work - I usually jump in to help my company when there's "all hands on deck" situation, but due to the current recession, we haven't had issues with keeping up with the schedule. Soooo more time for me to do youtube stuff~
