This video proves that you can make a good documentary on a very small budget! Great work!

I had the idea a week ago to become a paramedic and from the day after I saw advert on the bus, in the papers to become one. Signs, next year I will try to start my study.

+Herczeg László Me too buddy... I was studying something else at university and it was pretty ''meh'' for me, I didn't have any ambition in relation to it whatso ever and then 2 weeks ago, I had a wake up call to become a paramedic, I told myself: ''This is what i want to do'' and I was pretty damn sure about it. I already signed up for school and I start next fall semester. :) best of luck to you!

That's interesting to see a motorcycle paramedic. I wonder what their main job is? Like a first responder until the ambulance can arrive, maybe?

+Alan Byam They would be classed as an SRV (Single Response Vehicle). They are there to assess and advise. It works well as they are fully trained crew that would be able to assess and see either a. they need backup b. treat and refer to another service like a GP

Sara Kayali it's a tough course depending on your background! I came straight from sixth form and I'm finding anatomy and physiology tough! The clinical skills such as cpr using the different airways are pretty simple to learn but don't get me wrong it's a great course with loads of great people! You've just got to be prepared to work your ass off! I have my placement starting in Feb which I can't wait for and I'm getting uniform soon! I already have my helmet aswell! Which uni's are you applying for?

what are paramedics salaries in the UK on average?

  • @awesomedingo100

Art Mccomeskey. Mostly all public service workers are on upwards of £25,000 a year. This is less for ambulance technicians but more for paramedics in London due to the living costs.

In today's climate that's about $30 grand for yous. It's enough here but it could be better, it's more than you make for working in a supermarket but it's less that you make for working in an cozy office desk job. As for supporting your family, it depends on where you live really as expenses fluttery greatly. I live in Scotland and in Edinburgh prices are more expensive than where I love but still so much cheaper than if you where in London. It's a good wage but it don't think it's enough for the service they give.
