Paraiso Tabasco | The most beautiful Tropical Destination in the State | Chiltepec

It is located just 71 kms north of Villahermosa and is considered the most beautiful tropical municipality in Tabasco | Paraíso and Chiltepec.
It is made up of a charming coastline and beautiful lagoons surrounded by dense mangroves through which countless crabs, herons, crocodiles, lobsters, piguas, shrimp, pejelagartos and aquatic birds glide.
Among the most important beaches are: Playa Paraíso and Playa Limón, both have regional specialty restaurants and in the first one is the El Paraíso Tourist Center, which offers hotel services, restaurant, pool, jetty, palapas and a quiet beach with warm waters. The sunsets on these beaches are unique.
Paraíso lives up to its name. It is a small Eden on the shore of the Gulf of Mexico on the coasts of the state of Tabasco.
Its name is derived from the tree of Paradise, made of precious wood, from the mahogany family and characteristic of this tropical region. It was first called Paso del Paraíso and now, simply, Paradise to underline its ideal character: heat, sea, beach, jungle, tranquility, kindness, good services.
It offers the opportunity to rest in the most relaxed of environments or practice sports activities in a natural environment. It is still a little known Tabasco jewel.
Paraíso is a tourist destination in full development. Its great natural wealth, the benefits of the climate and the environment of the population make it an ideal place to enjoy the sea, the sun, the beach, the jungle, the heat, the population, the flora and fauna.
Paraíso is a very well connected destination, both by land and by sea. It is located about eighty kilometers from the city of Villahermosa, capital of Tabasco and less than twenty kilometers from Comalcalco, with which it communicates through the La Isla-Dos Bocas highway. The average travel time from Villahermosa is an hour and a half.
Through Paraíso it crosses a road network with heavy traffic; In addition to the aforementioned highway, there are three other highways that connect it with the rest of the state of Tabasco and neighboring states: federal highway 187 Malpaso-El Bellote, which connects with Comalcalco, Heroica Cárdenas and Huimanguillo; the Paraíso-Santa Cruz state highway, which communicates with Frontera and Ciudad del Carmen; and the intercoastal highway, which connects with the state of Veracruz, but which has frequent cuts and problems mainly due to atmospheric events in the Gulf of Mexico.
There are public transports, taxis and buses, which provide service between Paraíso and Comalcalco, and daily passenger bus service, on various lines and categories, between Paraíso and Villahermosa, in Tabasco, and Ciudad del Carmen, in Campeche.
By sea, Paraíso communicates with the rest of the country and the world, through the high-altitude port of Dos Bocas, the most important in the Gulf of Mexico due to its oil activity. Oil, commercial and tourist cruise ships arrive at this port.
Until recently, Paraíso was an Eden hidden between the jungle and the coast. A small fishing village away from the big cities and highways; however, oil development in the entire region has caught up with it. The construction of the Dos Bocas port, one of the most important in the country, and the construction of the La Isla-Dos Bocas highway, triggered the growth of Paraíso.
There is a sufficient supply of hotels and tourist services under development, with alternatives for all tastes and possibilities. There are hotels, motels in Paraíso, as well as small ecotourism centers with inns and bungalows. However, there are not many, so it is advisable to book the accommodation in advance, especially if you want to visit Paradise during the holiday season or on a long weekend or long weekend.
The beaches of Paraíso are the most visited in the entire state of Tabasco, both by tourists and locals and they have all the services for their attention, mainly in the more developed tourist centers.
In addition to its beaches, there are lagoons, bars, rivers, mangroves, which allow you to enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna of the entire region. Playa Paraíso, Playa Varadero, Playa Bruja, Playa Dorada, Playa Mar, Sol y Arena, Playa Pelícanos, Nuevo Paraíso, Puerto Chiltepec, Barra de Tupilco, Cerro de Teodomiro, Isla Rebeca, Cangrejópolis, are some of the favorite places of the residents and visitors.
