The PARAGON is a California inspired pintail designed to be fast and loose off the tail and stable on the nose. The Paragon has a slight step deck in the nose and edge in the tail with plenty of tail flip which allows this board to flow and maneuver with ease while remaining a versatile noserider. A modern down rail in the tail allows you to push through and drive out of your bottom turns and carry speed through your cutbacks. The Paragon also has the same magic rocker you’ll find in our beloved Slasher low pro. I rode one of these today. It rode absolutely insane. Paddled extremely well. It catches waves like a dream. It does everything you ask of it. Flows excellent rail to rail. Turns off the bottom, cutbacks, pumping down the line or hanging on the tip effortlessly. A big thanks to Modern Beach Supply for giving me the pleasure to ride this gem of a board. Oh, and just in case, it was a Thunderbolt Black with an involvement Fin.
This is such a great reminder to go log. The board is beautiful but more than that his little talk is so clear and true...thank God for CJ Nelson
not a surfer myself (landlocked in Chattanooga) however the wall of boards behind this gentleman is absolutely beautiful imo it would be interesting to see a shaper turn a block of foam into one of those ! also the board in the center has some badass graphics ENJOY them all 😊

6:23 this is so true I saw a guy on a 10’ glider and he had a huge, fat pivot fin in it. It looked so weird and probably didn’t ride to well.
When you’re spending close to 2k on a surfboard, you really want all the information you can get. I have three of CJs boards and a couple words come to mind “thoughtful design” these boards just work.
