Actually most equipment are not available ready to buy in India. Items like paraglider are made to order on your specifications and takes 4-5 weeka average. The harness comes in many variety and PG knowledge is very necessary to order the items as per your suitability. It is dangerous to use or mix match incompatible products in such sports so I always advise people to learn PG first and then take advice and buy products for their PG school itself. Hope this suffices your question.

Sir, i have done p3 and have been flying on rented equipment. But the rent keeps my hours low and also have to fly from the school locations. I am thinking of buying second hand equipment. PG schools in Bir Billing should be a good choice because Bir gets pilots from all around the world. Also as in any other trade trust no one, get a experienced pilot to check the equipment before you buy, even if you have to pay him a small amount for his service. Best Wishes to you

It really depends on personal preference, but most popular schools are best in their own. If you want all-in-one no frills to-the-point classic sharp learning then PG Gurukul www.paragliding.guru If you want good & fancy learning with good interaction then choose any PG school in Kamshet given in description. If you want Army kind of quality and learning then you can opt for NIMAS www.nimasdirang.com which comes under Ministry of Defence, GOI. Hope this helps.

Actually as a safety rule no one puts videos of theory for paragliding. This is because you cannot learn just by knowing what is what. It requires a instructor to make you understand how to use your reflexes correctly. There have been many instances in past where people have used online videos to learn aerial sports and have proven fatal and then blamed the video producer. You can though find some info videos from other countries, but it will not make much sense until someone explains it to you in person. Regarding brake line, it almost never happens that a brake line breaks. Even if it breaks you can use weight shifting method to steer the glider and land into the wind.

Difference is the Air speed, handling and agility. EnA are for beginners due to easy handling and are very forgiving incase of pilot errors. EnB is for bit experienced pilots especially P3 ones. EnC & EnD are for very experienced pilots who take part in competitions, long cross country etc. These do not expect pilot errors and are like ferrari's of sky.

No. Not advisable. Don't invest time for career in paragliding. All because it has a very limited area of operation, very weather and season dependent and income is not much. And very risky also.

Not as of now. But you can search for second hand wings in Bir. Google local PG schools as they regularly get a lot of stuff. You will be able to get good EnB with Harness for approx 1 to 1.5L

Sir how many hours one need to log to qualify for tandem pilot? And approx how much it could cost to reach to that level?

You need to learn min upto P4 + Cross country and more than 200 hours of total flying + SIV. Total cost cannot be calculated but it should be around 5 lacs in about 3 years period. Please refer to my other videos. Thanks.

It is legal if you get permission from the DM of that area. Else it is illegal. You will need to contact area DM with your documents and training and proposal of commercial / non-commercial activities.

2 factors for this. Usage and Care/Storage. On average it is anywhere between 5 to 10 years or even more if well packed and rightly stored. If the fabric is not much damaged over time, the lines can also be changed giving a new life to the glider. UV damages the fabric so it should always be in the bag when not in use.

Yes, second hand equipment is available at very good deals. Normally 30% to 50% less than new. Price depends on many factors, including demand and supply and size. But caution is advised as some sellers give wrong information of the quality of their equipment. Always trust your PG school for the same, even if they take a small commission on the trade. Madam apke husband pilot hai kya ya aap ho kya weight is very important. Tandem karo jahan pe peche pilot baitha hai or ghoomata hai. Only 2 people are allowed not 3 of you go in North you will get around 1.5k to 3k for it depends on bargaining skills
