Still using Rogue Max. Put it against the Paradym. Loved the Paradym, seemed to pack more of a punch. Thinking of upgrading, now this could be in the running. Just got fitted for Paradym irons.

You are probably going to see a better off-centre ball speed consistency if nothing else. Good year for club heads this year

Looking to swap from a '22 Rogue Max ST to the Smoke Ai Max. Briefly tested the Paradym in 2023 and it was impressive. Hopefully can bring the spin down a little with the Smoke Ai. Interesting that they've moved the standard shaft back to Tensei Blue from the Hzrdus Silver..

The Ai smoke did test well for spin and should see a little more ball speed than the rogue st max too

thanks for this great video, got fitted for callaway driver yesterday, Paradym X with new Tensei AV blue 55 shaft, loved the look and feel and my speed etc was way better than my old driver , tried the smoke max D then got little bit more distance but didn't look as great to me at address, personal I know, just wondering what to do , as obviously the smoke is more forgiving , but its an extra €100 than the Paradym , appreciate any feedback , I'm a slow swing speed of 80 due to shoulder injury, many thanks

Ultimately the Paradym is still a good head and it is whether the distance gain gives you enough value relative to the extra cost.

looking forward to trying the AI Smoke! imagine a fair change from my G400 LST.

I would love to know how much that or any driver costs to make. How much is it marked up? It’s all marketing to sell a driver at 600 dollars then drop the price next year when the new one comes out. I think 99% of golfers would be better waiting and buying the last version. Hundreds of dollars for 4 yards. Yes 4 yards.

If your driver is 5 years or older than this years model then it’s time to upgrade. The face in this Ai is like nothing those old drivers or new drivers have. Go hit one and I promise you will be a believer. The desperation tightness alone is worth the price

The brands do not drop the price after a year as they just phase the model out - it is the retailer who reduces the price to sell on “old” stock. I agree that year-on-year improvements are getting tougher to achieve but as someone she’s said the gains after 4 or 5 years are there to be seen

I agree with 5 years. Purchased a Paradym Triple diamond last year and it was an improvement from my M3. Much less spin off the toe and the heel. I may be jaded on just how expensive everything is costing anymore

We had done other data testing before recording to verify which the data captured tied in to but this is done as a brief pre-release check as we only had the samples for a day but we will do some more testing and comparisons with other models once our demo heads arrive

When manufacturers already have specifications on how fast the ball can leave the club face, does anyone believe that they have not already achieved maximum performance and that every new driver model that comes out is just another marketing gimmick? They can’t make these faces any hotter than they have been for the last 10 years people stop falling for this bullshit. Remember when drivers were $299? Now we’re paying $600 or $700 or even $800 for exactly the same performance.

Manufacturers are focusing on forgiveness across the face for the reasons you’ve just mentioned. This is why TaylorMade‘s new driver is all about moment of inertia, and before that “fargiveness”. Allegedly Pings new driver aswell. 25years ago some drivers off the shelf with premium shaft were still $700!! R510TP with a Fuji Speeder 757

I think u are totally right i know some friends gaming the original epic and smashing long drives it just to expensive to upgrade the just said last years paradym driver was there best but soon as new one comes out it already obsolete unbelievable I’m not falling for that trick anymore

Amen ! If you need more forgiveness then learn how to hit the golf ball correctly. I still game a King Cobra Speed LD from 2007. It’s still plenty long on miss hits.
