Que orgulloso me siento de ser chileno, y ver como extranjeros opinan tan bien de mi pais, y de esta amada intitucion que dia a dia vela por mi seguridad y la de mis compatriotas. Antiguamente a esta marcha se le llamaba 'parada de los hombres altos' (es la traduccion correcta del aleman), pero ahora se le llama 'parada de los grandes hombres' para no hacer sentir mal a aquellos mas bajos. En esta era en que todo debe policamente correcto, ni las marchas se escapan.

tresaq11En realidad no tiene que ver con ser políticamente correcto. En mis tiempos no había tanto escozor con esas cosas, pero desde chica oí decir el erróneo "grandes hombres". Solo es una mala traducción de "Muchachos grandes".

Wikileaks First because Carabineros de Chile were initialy mounted police guarding roads from bandits, then they became the nationwide police they are today, they have a militarized estructure and training. That brings us to the second point, in the late 1800 and early 1900 the Chilean army switched from its French influence to Prussian, bringing instructors, the most important Colonel Emilio Körner. They adopted Prussian uniforms, doctrine, marching style, etc. Since they preceded the goose steps of certain austrian corporal, here the armed forces have kept their +100 years old traditions.

MarK. Si bien es la Policía, pero ellos igual participan en la "Gran Parada Militar" y desfiles militares a lo largo de todo Chile.

muy bueno el TM. Pero una critica constructiva, sabe dominar mucho con la derecha, pero le falta algo en la izquierda, y lo otro, sus evoluciones deben ser un poco menos aceleradas, ya uqe él tiene que marcar el compás de las marchas.

El significado es lo mismo , no te compliques . Recuerda que el idioma Español , es muy rico en vocabulario , a diferencia de los otros idiomas . Por lo tanto , si traduces un texto al Español , ya sea del inglés o del Alemán , debes de hacerlo , lo más exacto posible a la lengua Castellana . De esa manera evitas confundir una oración . Bye.

Not really, we have been doing this since 1886 with the arrival of the Prussian Coroner Emil Korner. In 1885 the President of Chile signed an agreement with the General Field Marshal Helmuth von Moltke, Chief of Staff of the Prussian Army, and the tradition has been kept since then, and very proudly so. DDR did not exist by then.
