If anybody ever wondered how the French Ballet dancer LUCIEN PETIPA (Marius Petipa's brother) made his entrance in the world premiere, "PAQUITA," April 1, 1846, it's right here in the body of ARTEMY BELYAKOV. There are many factors at work here that bring life to the great 19th century. ROMANTIC STYLE was established by his famous brother MARIUS in Ballet history. Prime example GISELLE. What stands out for me is that LUCIEN is not just walking. He's a stalking panther, like, much the way preditors mark their territory to keep male competitors away from their mate. He's in charge of his surroundings by powerful alpha presence. That is this role. One of the best aspects of the incomparable Russian program training is the character classes. They require the same discipline as the classical. The results are evident. Imperial Russia welcomed the generous genius of the famous Frenchman MARIUS PETIPA with open arms while France looked the other way. Russia gave him the love and money to make magical ballet. He didn't disappoint 🙌!!! The PAQUITA role is likely based on the famous CARLOTTA GRISI herself. Joseph MAZILIER, the choreographer I'm certain, was inspired by her beauty and elegance in the role. In closing, the style and design by the great BELYAKOV is a masterpiece of character and élan. I absolutely love it and applaud it. Great video ❤. CONGRATULATIONS
