It's clearly an accident. Why would he spit it out for an extra 2 seconds of rest? It falls out usually right after he talks. Also, why is it that in some of his other fights, it comes out right at the start of the round? He wants an extra 2 seconds of rest after resting for 2 minutes? I've seen some stupid theories in my time but this one takes the cake.

@@caleblee6734 Go through all of his fights, and count the number of times it falls out when he's stuck, and then count the number of times it falls out when he's either dominating or not even near his opponent, and you'll find that it almost always falls out at the latter.

My thought exactly. I have only seen him designated as the winner in a grappling match and it was only because they set a rule that if there was no submission, he wins. Should have been a draw at best, but the other guy in that one had Pappas on defense the entire time.

he has met his match plenty of times already

One thing i have learned from watching Pappas fight is that he always wants to put on a show when he fights, he plays around (sizing up opponent?) and make it last and then leave it all in the 3rd round win or lose. however i feel that because of this he tends to want to be verbal and talk a lot in the ring and of course then fumbles out his mouth guard constantly because of it as well as not giving 100% when he fights most of the time. Bad Pappas, stop that!

You should be able to time his rushes, move to one side and throw a check hook. As he rushes forward sometimes his hands are down.

that had to be very tough to ref. I know it must hurt to know a fighter, and maybe be friends, but finally taking the point for repeated mouth guard violations was warranted. I'm enjoying these scraps more than the average UFC fight.. And I've been following MMA since its inception.

The funny thing is that even though some of these regulars we see on here look out of shape, They are actually in better Fighting condition than a lot of people. I'm not saying they are the cream of the crop but an average guy trying this would quickly realize Fighting is the most tiring thing ever, Especially when you get to that point where you are telling your body to move yet it just won't listen anymore yet they keep going.

Either get Pappas a ball gag for a mouthpiece, or start making some rule changes. If any fighter loses their mouthpiece more than twice in a match, there should be some form of penalty. Why more than twice? Because once is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a pattern. Some penalties could include an automatic TKO. Protecting yourself at all times is a basic rule, and repeatedly losing your protective equipment could be considered an inability to protect himself at all times. Alternate penalties could be a point reduction, a period of suspension, or a monetary fine. Mix and match these however you see fit.

"Finally" lol you would have to be actively working to find someone on or under his level to be "finally" finding his match now.
