GG'S to GenG they played absolutely insane...from a tier 2 team to the kings of APAC and korea is just goated. And yea i feel bad for PRX, the loss of jingg has affected them as monyet is no able to fill up that "aggressive raze" role for them

Finally. Pacific is no longer considered a PRX & DRX friend region. Gen G really proved a lot of people wrong that they couldn't winner.

Now we know why jinggg is the key player of prx, jinggg is just pure confidence and fast reaction. Monyet got movement, but the shot couldn't really register. I think he's better with smoker role where it doesn't involve reaction so much, so he can focus on aiming.

Curious how forsaken did with raze in scrims, saw him playing in soloq a few times even when queuing with jing. I saw comment that said monyet was raze main before prx but I felt his execution was abit iffy in the last series so maybe forsaken could go raze for some maps. Other than that props to Geng I already felt they look good leading up to this series, I thought prx core 3 was too solid but geng won so I'll be looking out for geng for madrid.

They talked about it in the pregame before the match. Even though Prx has been winning this tournament, Monyet's stats on the team hasn't been impactful towards winning the games. Meaning his impact kills/dmg isn't helpful in the rounds they're winning. It definitely showed in this match. Geng is an amazing team and texture did well the whole tourny, so this final outcome wasn't surprising in the least. JJing's play style/role on the team might end up being too big of shoes to fill. Monyets playstyle looks confusing compared to JJing, random satchels landing in bad positions/ wasting them in times he doesn't need to use them, overheating with them etc. GG's prx and genG entertaining match

Kudos to prx for still making it this far, i honestly had lower expectations this time after the player, role and comp changes. But they still took me by surprise. This was not their best performance, but I'm still rooting for them. Hopefully they're able to reset and come back stronger

Gen G played amazing; people will say PRX were bad but Gen G could genuinely win Madrid. They’re the new PRX. That split match they literally did what PRX do to everyone. Excited to see what they can do but also gutted for PRX.

I agree. He was definitely bad but the only reason he was made out to look worse than he did was because he is being compared to jinggg, one of the best players to ever play the game. Doesn't help the fact that monyet played a lot of raze, the agent that jinggg is single handedly the best at in the world.replacing jinggg was never going to be easy. I think prx took the wrong approach in playing monyet as raze. They're trying to play as if he's jinggg. It also doesn't help that his former teammate, texture, had an insane game with a rookie in karon also dominating.

One of the biggest reasons that they could play W gaming was that jingg was just too explosive. Everyone else is good but it was really jinggg that allowed it.

Rather than being overrated, they just lost the best player for their W gaming style and are in sort of a transition. Like forsaken and something are good but they don't really measure up to jingg in terms of explosiveness. Jingg's explosiveness is just different.

This year's PRX is obviously weaker than last years with the loss of Jinggg. I mean even in this current act, Jingg is still the top 1 SEA player. Monyet just isnt on the same tempo or caliber as PRX and the few players capable of replacing Jingg are KangKang, Som, Aspas, Derke. Quite surprised they nvr try to get Som considering that he doesnt have a team currently and was one of the top 10 players in last year VCT circuit.

its true to a certain extent but I feel is kinda a bias whichever side of the opinion you hold. In champions finals can argue alex derail something's momentum by not keeping him on duelist all the way, here can argue they still working to fit monyet into a different style from when they had jing. Either way personally I feel something went from like top 1-2 best player in prx to 4th, might be due to recency bias in this short season but I feel that the core of forsaken, mindfreak and d4v41 is still great and they are mainly why prx wins.
