Paper Mache Skull Mask! Fitting Skull Mask Tutorial

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Make a creepy, cool skull mask that fits your face from paper mache with this easy tutorial. You need: a disposable soft aluminum pan (the kind that we bake pies in), wood glue, newspapers, acrylic colors (or plastic colors) and homemade paper clay for which here is the recipe (truth is I add and mix without really measuring but here it is) :
Soak 3/4 of a roll of toilet paper in warm water and squeeze it to get most of the water out. Add one or two spoonfuls of cornflour and mix. Add 4-5 spoonfuls of wood glue and mix. Add 2-3 spoons of wood filler putty (or acrylic filler putty) and mix very very well. Use it on the skull mask and keep the rest in the refrigerator in an airtight container for future sculpting projects.
Enjoy!

Create a cool, creepy skull mask that fits your face without any ready template or ready mask, just paper mache and a disposable aluminum pan. Please check the description for materials and the paper clay recipe. Enjoy!

@@austinward9741 Spray I believe yes, but so far I haven't used it to paint masks. Definitely you can paint a paper mache clay mask with plastic colors over and over as many times as you like. Plus if you want to give it a base color you can add it to the mix to make the clay colored from the begining.

This is homemade paper mache clay: toilet paper soaked in water that is well drained and without big lumps, plus white wood glue, plus wood filler putty (or any simple kind of wall putty). I add the quantities without measuring precisely, what I want is a doughlike thickness and consistency wich is achieved by kneading for a while. There is also ready made paper clay sold in hobby stores, but I prefer to make my own.
