Learn how to make paper dahlia flowers with simple materials in this easy-to-follow tutorial! Paper flowers were some of the first decorations I learned to make with a Cricut. Since then, I’ve shared more than a dozen original paper flower SVGs and love seeing your creations. Today, it’s time for a new one: the paper dahlia in three styles! I just love dahlias and all the different forms they have. I designed two different types of dahlias to capture some of their diversity. And since the flowers come in so many different sizes, I’ve included ways to make paper dahlias from 4.5″ to almost 20″! With all these versions and the nearly endless cardstock options, you can make your own flower show! Let me show you how in this paper dahlia tutorial!

You make it look so easy. I have only had my cricut maker 3 for about a month or 2 and have not had much luck with flowers. I know it takes a few tries to master the flower or anything new. I am got to try the small dahlia now. Bye

I would like to use these dahlias for a 10 inch shadow box. What size do you recommend for the dahlias?
I love these. I’m making the paper flower wall. Beautiful! You are so generous with your knowledge. Thank you! Can you please tell me how to make the medium sized dahlias? Thank you from an admiring fan! Donna

Sorry I meant the medium 8.25 easy flower. Just leave the larger petals off? Thanks again. You’re terrific!
If I were to make them smaller for an arrangement how would I add stems?
Do you use core card stock?
Looks gorgeous! What’s the best way to hang big flowers on the wall securely other then blue tac (the flowers are heavy and blue tac doesn’t hold it well any way)

@@JenniferMaker thank you! so you apply double sided tape on the flower and then you stick the command strip above the double sided tape? So if you change the location of the flower 🌺 on the wall to a different location in the future, does it peel the cardstock of the flower? Or can the command strip get peeled and doesn’t get stuck to either the wall or cardstock? Thanks for your help.
I really like the cone dahlia - can it be resized to 3 inches in diameter?

How long did it take to make each dahlia, and how long did it take for the glue to dry?
@JenniferMaker
Жыл бұрын
Probably a few hours. It depends on the glue that you use. My new favorite glue is Barely Art.
Hi Jennifer! I am a long time follower, and this is my first question. Is there a way to make my cones for the Dahlia more uniform. They vary so mych. Thanks, Barbara

I am tying to make the broad pedal dahlias and when you get to the part where you have to change the circle from basic to pen, my circle always disappears, but yours do not. Should I make another circle with the same dimensions and attach or group it together with the pen lines or is it fine that the yellow circle is not there?

Is it possible to make these without a machine?
@JenniferMaker
2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I have the pdf file as well that you can cut by hand. It is #387 in my library. jennifermaker.com/paper-dahlia/
I was hoping that when you said "all you need is paper and glue", it wouldn't be cricut-based; alot of people outside of the US don't have access to such machines... we still do it all by hand.

You can cut these by hand. We have both files for you. You can print it out and cut by hand.
