Well, they skipped some things : -you will get a brown bulk, not the final version of the paper sheets -they did not do the bleaching process -the paper would be of bad quality, as they did not removed hemicellulose and pectin completely (you need to boil it for several hours + in addition to NaOH you need to add a source of sulphur in form of sulphite SO3 - or sulphate SO4-) -they did not break the fibres into the fine linters - much harder and slower pressing capabilities.

It's kinda ironic how in a primitive civilization Senku had an easier time making paper than Myne stuck in a medieval era civilization. Course one has to keep in mind that while they both knew *how* to make paper they had differences in resources available to them. A vast difference in manpower at their respective disposals to make paper, and to make the stuff that's needed to make paper that allowed Senku and the skilled craftsman Kaseki here to make it in one shot vs. Myne having to work by trial and error with Lutz. Not to mention how Myne had to deal with the hurdles unique to a civilized society such as procuring investment capital and other such business hurdles for her endeavours. Not to mention her being stuck in a child's body with a weak constitution held her back to no small degree. In the end by this point Senku had a whole deck of cards at his disposal to work with. Myne by contrast was forced to play with the bad hand she was dealt.

When it comes to making paper or recycling paper and cardboard to create paper sheets, there are different methods and solutions you can use. Here are two commonly used processes: 1. Pulping and Bleaching: a. Pulping: The first step is to break down the paper or cardboard into individual fibers. This can be done by soaking the material in water and mechanically agitating or blending it. You can use plain water for this step. b. Bleaching: If you want to achieve a brighter or whiter paper, you can use a bleaching agent. However, it's important to note that bleach, such as chlorine bleach, can be harmful to the environment. Instead, it is recommended to use environmentally friendly bleaching agents like hydrogen peroxide or oxygen-based bleaches. These alternatives are gentler and less harmful to the environment. 2. Papermaking Solution: a. Once the paper fibers are separated, you need a solution to suspend and disperse the fibers evenly to create paper sheets. A common solution used is a mixture of water and a small amount of cellulose thickener, such as methylcellulose or carboxymethylcellulose. These thickeners help retain the fibers in suspension and improve the formation of the paper sheets.
