This is the same man that sent a man Jake to sleep with his daughter to destroy the Olitz relationship. This is who you admire? This is also a man that lied to his daughter by telling her that her mom was dead when really he locked her up for 22 years and then put Olivia in boarding school to run b613. She pretty much raised herself. No this speech is bogus and this rant was unnecessary. He is a man and father and a terrible one at that. He is why Olivia could never be happy with Fitz or any man in her life because he's not happy in his life the decisions he made. Misery loves company

It's like me talking. I have just added this to my profile, my personal Place and nothing is added to there unless it is of value. I would like to direct this to all of these boys and Girls surrounding this campus and many of the poeple I have met in my Life. You don't know the meaning of Privilege? Well this is an introduction. Thank you SHonda Rhymes. You take actual human situations and make them extra pumped of emotions and feelings and sooooul and then you share them with us who YOU KNOW can relate. I am thankful. Papa Pope, you won me over. Honestly, I DISLIKE FITZ, I am becoming SICK really sick of Olivia and of Fitz too. I admire really admire Mellie. I also get it... what "Papa Pope" means. Fitz is a spoiled brat.... Girls, you feel attracted to him? You envy Olivia? DO NOT. ONE DAY WILL COME WHEN DUMPS OLIVIA TOO. If you saw this scene from the season 3 episode 10 then I guess that you have arrived to see that episode where they show us the past of Mellie.... This woman... she is just either crazy, mental, or seriously strong beyond what I knew existed, but also suicial and self destructive to stay with such a hurtful man. Did you see how much love he had for her? Ok well, Olivia, you future is Mellie's present so belt on and prepare yourself for a similar ride.

A lot of the cast deserve Emmies.
Prince Harry..his marriage to Meghan was his opportunity to "rebel."
Bro I love the language at the end, “you disappoint me as a suitor for my daughters hand” like if this was the 1500’s he wouldn’t even had been able to step on the door step 😂😂
I don’t watch the show, but why do I get the feeling that Papa Pope wasn’t exactly all that wrong about that guy?

This is the same man that sent a man Jake to sleep with his daughter to destroy the Olitz relationship. This is who you admire? This is also a man that lied to his daughter by telling her that her mom was dead when really he locked her up for 22 years and then put Olivia in boarding school to run b613. She pretty much raised herself. No this speech is bogus and this rant was unnecessary. He is a man and father and a terrible one at that. He is why Olivia could never be happy with Fitz or any man in her life because he's not happy in his life the decisions he made. Misery loves company
Eli, has read the word to Fitz!
Epic scene, I love Joe Martin. Fitzgerald Grant , don't mess with command!
I was disappointed Jasmine Guy never did a guest role as the one who got away and corrupted Rowan into an evil man

Whatever just give the man something. This is performance of a master, this is what they play in drama schools to teach future actors what it is to be a great actor/actress.

Great Scene! That Boy was put in His place by a Man! A Strong Black Man!
I literally love papa pope’s voice! He may be mean but boyyyy he can ACT😂
Thank you Roman! THANK YOU!
When I watched this scene my whole body WENT COLD!!!!!!!!
Damn. That was hard papa pope. If I was Fitz, I would just want to bury myself in small hole to escape this enraging TRUTH !
I guess going to dinner would not be a good idea .
I didn’t appreciate rowan back then but I do now. YOU BETTA READ BABY FITZ!
My favourite scene
The face That Eli said he was a disappoinment for his daughter hand that really cut Fitz. Because he knew Eli was right Fitz isn't worthy Olivia, Millie, or any woman.
OK!!! Tell the truth... Joe Morton is THE best male actor EVER.
Read Fitz for Filth!!! Say what you want about Papa Pope, but this man is the truth!!!
baby daddy read Fitz for filth!!
And the award goes to Joe Morton, phenomenal performance here
He read him for filth but he was wrong he does truly love Liv
I watch this weekly
I remembered thinking what a great actor at the time, then I realised he also played Miles Dyson and now think he is an American national treasure. Makes me feel patriotic and I'm not even American.
Facts, Papa Pope, Facts!
Papa Pope put his foot down. Wow
He is a walking bomb, i love papa Eli
Slayyy
SHOOK😳👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The creative audacity is the riffing/allusion/use of the narrative structure for comparison to the song Summertime. You truly are dismantling someone when you get lyrical/historical allegorical on them.
Get ready for another Papa Pope 5 min. rant
Mic drop🎤
Why he yelling a man with no eyebrows? That’s not nice.
I never realized it before, but he is who Olivia gets it from.
Papa Pope mad because he doesn't have love like Fitz. Papa Pope rant on and on how much a boy Fitz is but yet his daughter Olivia loves that boy no matter how much Papa Pope tries to break them up. Love wins.

@SouthSideLadyWright

@@terrybicette2594 If Papa Pope so much defend his daughter Olivia, why he didn’t rescue her when she was kidnapped and held for ransom? Papa Pope had Fitz son killed. That’s not defending his daughter. Papa Pope was all about himself.
His monologues are so over the top now.

TBH I hate how people say that if you are Ritch you aren't a man and that if you hate or get sad your spoil I mean some times that's true but some time it isn't true because it doesn't matter if your Ritch or poor you will always have feelings and they will always come out

I want to marry Joe Morton because of this scene. It's enough as far as I'm concerned. Call me Joe.😅
Reminded me of a Joker
