I use Olio more for giving away food than getting food. It's quite handy if I have a few bits that the kids have decided they won't eat and I can give them away rather than throwing away x

It's a really good app, when i first went on it years ago there weren't many people on it, now there's loads which is great x

New subbie, great video, I’m very much a use what I have and try to spend as little as possible on groceries, Olio is great, I’ve been a food waste hero since Olio was first introduced 😊

Thanks for subscribing 🙏 Absolutely, I hate waste, and if it helps reduce the grocery bill, then it is even better. That's lovely of you. It wouldn't work without people like you 🙏 I can imagine it to be a bit time-consuming 😊

As a volunteer with Olio, i would say keep an eye on it. I often end up with lots that people havent requested ao its not like you would always be taking from someone who needs it.

Oh really, I would have just assumed it would all go. I have looked on the app locally, and it often goes fairly fast. I think it's a lovely thing you're doing ☺️

@@Withinabudget often there is so much bread and veggies that there aren't collected. I haven't bought bread in about 2 years at this stage. You could always message a local volunteer and see if they have stuff that doesn't get requested.
