I feel that the dime put all the southern style and weight on that solo. One of my favorites, a lot of feeling.

This is one of my absolute favorit songs of all time. Especially that doubled outro just does something to me I can't explain. These songs always make a bit sad that pantera never got a second guitarist for the shows. I mean it's absolutely insane how Dimebag could fill a stadium by himself, outdoing many two or even three piece guitarist bands, but songs like this show how much more he could do with layering of guitars.

I agree. A lot of solos are very mechanical, but some of Dime's solos flowed like water. The way his fingers danced around the fretboard makes his style difficult to replicate.

Bret Snyder absolutely; you hit the nail on the head there where you said his fingers ‘dance around the board’.. that’s precisely it! His legato is so damn smooth.

I was on the fence after watching your Metallica blackened solo cover but this video pushed me right to your subscribe button. I actually had hit the subscribe button before you let loose on this solo because the rhythm that you were playing before the solo was so spot on.... Sorry for the ramble. Just saying your videos are really cool. EDIT: (Thinking all that while reaching for my LTD deluxe MH 1000.)😎😎😎

@BretSnyderMusic

At the time, I had a Tone Zone in the bridge, but was never a fan of that pickup. I swapped it out for a Bill&Becky L-500XL and couldn't be happier with the upgrade. It has a much more aggressive attack now.

This album wasn't my favorite when it was released, myself being a big fan of Vulgar, which I felt was the perfect bridge between Cowboys and Driven....but now I'm 40 and it may be my favorite album by this near-perfect band. This solo, specifically, is everything Dime held dear: KISS, Skynyrd, and Sabbath.

Great work man. Only thing is that the riff before the real solo (My all time favorite guitar part played by Dime along with the Floods Outro) seems rushed a tiny bit. It might be me who does it a little slower but it seems rushed on some of the bends. MIght just be 1 bpm to fast or something like that.
