It isn't hard to, it's just pretty pricey. You will need the guitar he used with the Dimebuckers (obviously, if you're going for the really authentic tone). You will also need a Diezel or Krank amp. Then just boost the fuck out of highs and gain and scoop the mids. You will be as close as it gets.

Mandarin Yeah, he did. But 'Dimebuckers' is literally a set of both of the bridge and neck picks ups he used. The set is just called 'Dimebuckers'.

you can use all the same gear, the same fiddles, the same pups, the same guts, and identical gain settings with identical cabinets...none of that matters. What DOES matter is how you touch the instrument. Tone is at LEAST 90% in the hands of the player. THIS FELLOW pretty much has it all right in his fingers. Dedication and talent shows, @kGmusicpage - you've got it!

Most likely cranked gain, with a lot of overdrive from a pedal just for good measure. And also, the guitar has dimebag's signature pickup set as well.

The production in this though. And that amp/pedal. Fuck me.

Higher gain sounds awful in hands that can't control. If you're as good as this guy, it's cleaner than other talented guitarists on less gain.

You're actually playing it right unlike many people who think they do.
