Some newer, younger guitar players who play 4000 notes a minutes think it's only about speed and technique and dismiss the feel and soul and say these do not exist. Listen to Dime play on this. That right there is what those people are missing and what makes them sound like everybody else. It's like you dna or fingerprint. Dime was special.

Hits me everytime this tune. My wife passed away when she was 27 in 2006, so she'd have been 41 this year. You never lose the grief, it's intrinsically linked to the memories of the good times but you do have to pass those gates and live again. She gave me a whole lot of life and two sons in a relatively short amount of time and I'm forever grateful for that. My condolences on the loss of your dear sister all that time ago. Peace mate.

Today August 20, 2020 would have been Darrell's 54th birthday. I was born in April 1966 so Dime was only 4 months younger than me. I'm a guitarist too, and actually was turned on to Pantera in the summer of 1985, when I had a job at... you guessed it... a cemetery. I was 19, and a friend I worked with would exchange tapes as everyone did back then. One day he's like- you gotta check out this band from Texas called Pantera. He had Metal Magic and Projects In The Jungle... we jammed on those everyday for the rest of the summer, until I moved to Phoenix. What great memories. RIP Darrell and Vinnie Paul. 🙏💔

Even if you don’t enjoy this genre of music, you have to appreciate the pure talent that Dimebag and Vinnie had. I’ve NEVER heard a metal guitarist play with as much soul as Dimebag. He’s like the Stevie Ray Vaughn of metal. And Vinnie, layed a ROCK SOLID Foundation for the band. He’s a huge influence on my drumming and I wouldn’t be the drummer i am today without him. RIP to the Abbott brothers. Legends never die.

I enjoy it a lot when people who aren't typically metal fans listen to this song. This song captivates. It goes so many directions. It doesn't matter who you are, you connect with this song in some way. I never got to meet Dime or vinnie. But their music changed my life. Pantera just has that affect on people. It was an immense part of my life growing up and inspiration for playing music. RIP abbot brothers. The world is a quieter place without you.
