Hey, thanks! The room # is 50001. (50th floor, first room). This room is the 'Panoramic Suite', so that's what you should look for at the Vdara. I'm sure if you asked at check-in they can help you out.

Yes it was 50001. I'm not sure what the hotel will do. You can always request it and see if it's available. Note that to increase you chances, arrive in the early afternoon (like 12-3pm). Most people are checked out by then and the rooms have been cleaned, while not all the newcomers have checked in yet. Whereas early morning or evening the room may be occupied.

This is the first "Vdara Panoramic Suite" video I found that REALLY features a panoramic view! Must have been even greater in 2009 when The Cosmopolitan wasn't there already.

Yeah, the view on this one is certainly stunning. I think one big thing that sets this room out amongst the others is that it's on the 50th floor. All the city view Panoramic Suites will have the same location on the floor, it's just that at 50 floors up, it gives a different perspective in comparison to one on the 20th floor, and if you do the math, it's more likely one would end up with something not as high.

Mainly the floorplan and where the room is positioned in the hotel. From what I see, the city corner suite is similar to a big square, where the panoramic is a rectangle shape. In the panoramic, three walls are simply windows giving you the 270 degree view as you see in the video. For the corner suite my impressions is that only two of the walls have windows giving you a 180 degree view. Check the floorplans on the Vdara site and you can get a good idea of what I mean...

Too be completely honest, I have no idea. I didn't complain though, it's still an amazing room! I have seen those videos with the room like that. From what I can tell, there's three or four different floor-plans that the Vdara uses for it's Panoramic Suites.

I was in room 50001. Not all panoramic suites are like this, and I would actually take a guess and say most are different. Take a look at the floorplan on the Vdara website. I'm slightly guessing here, but from what I know of the hotel and how the floors are arranged, I would say there are two Panoramic Suites per floor. One on the city view like the one in this video, and one on the dessert side. In short, these rooms vary quite widely.

Also, with the Penthouses, the top two floors [54-56] are solely for them. They are a fantastic room, but you're right in saying that this room has a better view. Unless your lucky enough to get a Penthouse at the end of the hall... But even then I don't know what the view is like.

There are two fridges, the big one which you can see clearly in the video, and a mini fridge. Big fridge is empty for you, and the mini is stocked with drinks/goodies. You have to pay to have them though.. Rather expensive too, as hotel drinks always are.

Nope. Vdara has a few different penthouse options, but this room is a step below them.

Looks great. The only issue I have with this suite is that it looks like when you sit on the toilet you are looking out the windows. People in Aria can sure get an intimate view of you....

The windows looking from outside to inside are tinted/non-see through. I am not saying they are totally black, but one would have be at an optimal angle, height, to see anything. Most higher end hotels have this feature to give privacy to guests.

Personally I would say the panoramic. However the penthouse guarantees a top floor (with the panoramic you get between floors 14-50).

You can try giving them a call. This specific room is #50001, but there should be others with similar views.

It's the camera - the USM within the lens, working to stabilize and keep the wobble to a minimum.

I just booked a panoramic suite for my stay in May. I came across this video and my jaw dropped. I Immediately called the hotel with my reservation # and requested this room. 500001. They told me that the bigger suites are assigned a couple days before check in and they put and an alert that I requested this room. While not guaranteed, it's a least not luck of the draw and I actually have a decent chance at getting this room!

Criticall Beetz In addition to the room, most hotels have a resort fee and Vdara's is a little over $30 a night so consider that when figuring your room too.

Is that a Penthouse level? Wow. :\

why do they make the kitchen right next to the master room bathroom? No one wants the bathroom use smell while eating in the kitchen lol

I don't think this is a panoramic because the panoramic only has 1 bathroom, not 1.5.

I'm guessing people can't see into your room since there are no blinds.

There are the automatic blinds that you can see at the end of the video. You don't really have to worry about people looking in as this is 50 floors up.
