Pandora Papers reveal financial dealings of some of world's most powerful people - BBC News

The Pandora Papers is a leak of almost 12 million documents that reveals hidden wealth, tax avoidance and, in some cases, money laundering by some of the world's rich and powerful.
More than 600 journalists in 117 countries have been trawling through the files from 14 sources for months, finding stories that are being published this week.
BBC Panorama and the Guardian have led the investigation in the UK.

Let us not forget how Carolyn Bryant Donham should be arrested for admitting to historian Timothy Tyson that she lied on 14 year old Emmett Till and causing that child's brutal and barbaric murder. MAINSTREAM MEDIA has failed to expose this until Carolyn is brought to justice. And if you check, she is still alive. And if Bill Cosby can be sent to jail then so can Carolyn Bryant Donham.

It is interesting how the BBC uses evidence from the Pandora papers to focus on those people on the left of the political spectrum, with comparitively minor tax evasion in hundreds of thousand of sterling, whereas the the larger billion GBP evasions are simply omitted. Maybe another sign one sided journalism? Does the UK still need another conservative media outlet, is Murdoch and the rest not efficient enough as private media to represent the conservatives? Example : The Retail business tycoon *Sir Philip Green and his wife* started to shift millions to the British Virgin Islands after the Brexit vote on 2016, and shortly after declared BHS bankrupt, fired all employees without compensation UK Conservative Party Donors : Leading Tory Donor and contributor the Boris Johnson Campaign : *Mohammed Amersi* Ventures Group, QML Group Etonite and Tory Chairman Ben Elliot, Ben Goldsmith, the financier and Tory advisor brother of environment minister Lord Zac Goldsmith Alexander Temerco, personal friend of Boris Johnson, to "facilitate" the upcoming energy link between Portsmouth and Normandy Government decision in a few weeks. Lubov Chernukhin the wife of a Russian Minister, playing tennis with Boris Johnson, donated £1.8m. Viktor Fedotov, Russian oil and gas magnate whose companies bankrolled 34 Tory MPs and gave the party £700,000, from a corrupt Russian pipeline deal, including Jacob Rees-Mogg's wife. While Boris Johnson was confirmed to be aware of these personal donations to the Tory MP and vetted for them. Can Rishi Sunak have a conflict of interest during the investigation if the Murthys are implicated in the Pandora Papers? The Queen of England - Crown Estate via Aliyevs worth more than £400m of property deals after 2016. The cherry of the cake is that tax evasion seems to be a Tory hobby with the highest prevalence in Tory Constituencies : 40% of the anonymously owned properties identified were in London and that the total value of the properties was likely to be more than 100 billion pounds ($135 billion). Popular areas were said to include the boroughs of Westminster, where the U.K. Parliament is located, Camden, and Kensington and Chelsea. Certainly £400m or $135 000 000 000 (billion) is in a totally different ballpark than £200k, or are some more equal than others? Or is it about BBC protecting the Tories before the storm in a pre-emptive whataboutism.

@@SunnyDarkoShow I think you need to go outside and touch some grass, you sound pretty stressed. If you think you can summarise someone's personality from a comment you have pre conceived ideas of who people are. I didn't normalise corruption. Corrupt people have. We are so used to it that no one will do anything, as in animal farm. Hopefully I'm wrong but considering this has happened since the end of WW2 I don't think I am. But, carry on keep shouting at eachother. That will make change. Stay divided that will help. Create an image of eachother that we are the problem. Point the finger at your neighbors. As long as we don't point the finger at the people who have actually commited these moral failures I think that's a great strategy. You have no idea the level of irony that I make a comment that nothing will change because we will be told to be angry at James bond, being a characterisation of how status quo is constructed through keeping us divided and distracted by things that don't matter and you immediately descend into a great example of someone loaded with preconceived ideas of who people are and using this to turn them into the enemy and keep divided. Thanks for providing great evidence to my original point. The conversation is now not about the criminals but instead about how me, a normal citizen in the UK is somehow responsible for corruption. Wild. Again, please go outside and calm down.

There is a crucial difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. The former is legal, the latter a crime. And with tax avoidance, you can do it by mechanisms which are encouraged by some governments, for example to stimulate growth in some areas, or you can exploit a legal loophole. This latter being an immoral thing to do but pretty much everybody does it.

But it hasn't been aloud for many years, has it, @Janet Whitehead? It's been kept silent about for all of those years, hasn't it? I believe that you mean 'allowed' rather than 'aloud', don't you? Maybe you should've just said 'permitted' rather than your obvious misspelling and misuse of that particular word, shouldn't you?
