Listening the raga desi by.renowned Venkatesh ji and all my sorrow,grief,going far away in the blue sky leaving me in calm and peaceful mood..

Don't know much about this ranga, but any raga by Pandit ji, heard with your eyes closed, will take you into a different world, of peace and calm, never felt before!

You can listen to a Hindi song from the film Baiju Bawra (1952) - Aaj Gawat Mann Mero Jhoom Ke. It’s a good reference to identify Raga Desi 🙏

Thank you for sharing! Really mesmerizing rendition of Raag Desi. One doubt - Pandit ji has used Nishad in Aroh several times, is it common or once in a while use is allowed?

Sir, Pandit ji is is a walking reference of ragas. If it is in his rendition - it is in the raag. :-) He has learnt from legends for more than a decade
