Absolutely.....an amazingly handsome persona. And see his fingers simply flying on the strings with so much confidence. A truly a genius setting aside the turmoils of his personal life. Blessed artist indeed.

Ravi was a real charmer and diplomat. Great musician and pioneer in the west. He was very fond of the ladies as he confessed in his book. However, he was very shrewd about protecting his empire. Actually one poster I saw in the Nehru Centre advertising his programme in East London as 'the Godfather of India Music.'!! Very true.

Are u jealous of? Pick up any instrument. Do rewaz (practice) everyday 16 hours. For 12 years at least This is called SADHANA Ravi Shankarji reached the zenith through sadhana. There is no short cut to success Do sadhana, I am sure you will also become famous. Don't try to reach the zenith by bringing some one down. It will not be long lasting. Good wishes to you PpG

@@parthapratimgoswami5469 I am certainly not jealous of a man who did what he did. I have had a personal experience so I know. What I said about him is only quoting from his own admissions. The problem is with icons if you say what they have done then those that follow are in denial and cannot accept their icon is just a man. I have done stints of very long practice in India and all I ended up with was tendonitis in my right-hand wrist and my guru saying correctly I was a fool and the local doctor putting my wrist in a plaster for 2 weeks until it recovered. Certainly one should be in an atmosphere of music for as much as one can which Ravi did by marrying his Ustad's daughter as Ali Akbar said one evening but not actually physically practicing 24/7. These are charming mythological and magical stories but not to be taken seriously, intellectually speaking. I have done all my 'hard' practicing over 53 years ago and of course, I keep my hand in but at 75, I think I am entitled to have a rational opinion on this subject with my experiences and musical history. Clem Sir With profound respect I would like to suggest you that to become a guru and guide some youngsters. Show them the right path since you have got wisdom. It is not wise to criticize any person who has left the world. More or less same thing happened with me then I restructured myself I became a compassionate teacher.
