This is one of our adult pairs of pandinus imperator during their mating ritual . First there’s a lot of grabbing and stinging on both sides ( a sting will often soften a females aggression) then the scorpions grab each others pedipalps and go through a series of push me pull you dances until eventually the male leaves a spermatophore on the ground and then he pulls the female over it so she can take it up into her genital opening….. then , hey presto….
