Truly the most heart wrenching thing I have ever seen. The mother struggling to hold her composure while her heart is breaking. To the family-May your smile soon return and your family hear your laughter once again. There is no betrayal -it is the ultimate gesture of love and honor to the soul that has left you but never really is gone. You understand like no other the pain at the loss so you realize how special a gift it is. You realize that you are not promised forever so you make the best life with each other while you can.

It's horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but they have other children to love, protect and raise. They gotta overcome the most agonizing situation as parents for the other children and each other. They don't have the luxury of throwing in the towel.

I've never witnessed this either. Though, I really wish this was done with my son. I had to sneak behind a curtain just to watch them close his coffin. Idk if they think they're doing families a favor but I needed to make sure he was in there.

Sincere sympathys to the family. Ive never seen this done at the graveside before, the casket being open and a final caress goodbye, its truly beautiful, rest in sweet peace little one ❤....(In Ireland we have a wake where the casket is open, we say our final good bye and the casket is closed before its taken to the cemetry or crematorium. )

Truly the most heart wrenching thing I have ever seen. The mother struggling to hold her composure while her heart is breaking. To the family-May your smile soon return and your family hear your laughter once again. There is no betrayal -it is the ultimate gesture of love and honor to the soul that has left you but never really is gone. You understand like no other the pain at the loss so you realize how special a gift it is. You realize that you are not promised forever so you make the best life with each other while you can.
Aww I’m so sorry to hear that! He is in a much better place now🥺. He will always watch over you from heaven. You will make him proud.
As a mother and grandmother, I sat here and grieved with the mother and family of this dear child. May our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, comfort you until you are reunited.

Sadly my daughter and son-in-law have had to bury two fifteen years apart. The grief was inconsolable. They are safe wrapped in the loving arms of Jesus!

My 85 year old grandmother lost her 60 year old daughter, my aunt, a few years ago and I can assure you the pain she felt was/is just as strong as the pain any mother who lost a young child felt. @@nancycurtis488

It's horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but they have other children to love, protect and raise. They gotta overcome the most agonizing situation as parents for the other children and each other. They don't have the luxury of throwing in the towel.

It’s the hardest part when they close that casket because that’s the last time you will ever see your child, I’ve been through it. It’s awful
As a funeral director I have never opened a casket at the cemetery. Most cemeteries forbid it. But this seems so peaceful.

I've never witnessed this either. Though, I really wish this was done with my son. I had to sneak behind a curtain just to watch them close his coffin. Idk if they think they're doing families a favor but I needed to make sure he was in there.

My heart aches for this family and loved ones. This was hard for me to watch but did in honor of the family. I pray that God comforts you and gives you strength.
Sincere sympathys to the family. Ive never seen this done at the graveside before, the casket being open and a final caress goodbye, its truly beautiful, rest in sweet peace little one ❤....(In Ireland we have a wake where the casket is open, we say our final good bye and the casket is closed before its taken to the cemetry or crematorium. )
