@@78anant420 it’s not too much, any Carnatic singer who sings with their soul connected with oneness of devotion is always in Sahaja Siddhu yoga thats why they spell that magic of divinity in their voice with blend of complete Oneness. They r many listeners who shed tears when they engrossed listening to their songs. This happens only with carnatic Music not with movie songs, that’s the difference

It is always the younger sister who does some very technical things in between and the older sister enjoys thats so much. She looks at her younger sister like a mother watching her child do something amazing. The younger sister then looks back like asking “did you like my manoeuvre?” Their connection is so lovable.

True! Have always felt even though they are completely matched, Ranjani's voice is a smidge better and whole bodied and Gayathri's singing is slightly technically better. They balance each other out beautifully though and play to their strengths. I would love to be a fly on the wall during their practice sessions or when they set vrittams to tune. 😁

Both sing in sync very well. Some of the Sangathis of Gayathri are out of the world.

Younger is 'Gomukh' - speed, spontaneous. Elder is River Ganga @Rishikesh - Silent and depth. Everyone is very beautiful in its own way.

In my humble opinion, one of your important contributions to Karnatic music is making the rendition sound extremely glossy without any aid of technology, without compromising the expression, tradition and nuances that makes it classical.

After nearly 50 years today I heard this song, my blessings to you both 🙏

Akkas, I have no words to describe this. The chirping of the birds in the background, the ambience set by the tampura, the vibrant contrasting colors, Gayatri akka's smile as you finish the composition--they just put my mind at peace and make me feel calm.

Listening to this piece was like meditation..I could not waver my attention (even if I wanted to) till the end of the song 🙏 ...pure Devi's grace.

It's not at all a rare ragam. It's rather common but can make you tingle with bit of sorrow mood, if sung in its essence. Try.
