Poornima ji’s songs are amazing. She has a fresh n innocent voice. I remember her songs Kya Hua tera Wada n Aadmi Musafir hai which were very good 😊
RD & Kishor daa never born again those are legendary of Indian music industry. No body compare with them just boom.

She's originally from Nepal and has sung many Nepali songs and she's one of the Panchamda's discovery beside Ranjit Gazmer who brought Madal (Nepali folk instrument) in Hindi Cinema infact RD Burman & SD Burman were from Tripura ( North eastern part of India ) ,somewhere both had soft corner for Nepali Community because of ethnicity, culture & appearance, still we North Easterns are too alinated in India ...let's not forget Danny Denzongpa 😂

What about the song from Andaz "Hai na bolo bolo ...papa ko mummy se ..." Music was by SJ. In 1971 Sushma Shreshtha was introduced. Madan Mohan, Salil Chowdhury, RD had her sing for them later.

Panchamda was a shrewd selector of his singers. The very example to quote is the second film of Rishi Kapoor after Bobby, Zahreela Insaan. Everybody was sure of Shailendra Singh getting the continuance of Bobby songs but Panchamda had other ideas when he insisted on Kishoreda singing the all time hit " O Hansini " despite much recommendation for Shailendra Singh even from Rishi Kapoor. But later only all understood the foresightedness of Panchamda in selecting Kishoreda to render the song, none could have bettered the song but for Kishoreda. Panchamda was the real Boss 🙏
