18 megapixel, and tripod is suggested with high zoom. But for the price i would say it's worth it, and the Zoom is fun to use.

Hey! I set the live wiew mode to 30fps, and 60fps too, but i still can't click the digital zoom. Can you help?

Make sure to turn on izoom first, and if you have the camera set to talk raw images, you should change it to take jpeg only, in the settings.

This tutorial is meant for FZ80/82 so make sure you have this exact camera. And sure, there's something in the settings that you need to turn on or off, but it's hard to know. So i would factory reset the camera and try again. But if you want to do that, make sure to back up your images on your pc or somewhere safe.

Pictures look ok on the screen but atrocious on your phone or monitor. If you lower photo size and go absolute maximum your pics will look like Minecraft 😀 but good for spotting stuff at the time. I saw a few dots in the distance once and took a photo at full zoom. They were deer. Couldn't tell with the naked eye. Totally unusable photo though even smartened up with software. Max optical zoom is furthest I'd go. Even then in low light it's not always as sharp as I'd like.

Do the settings work on fz 72 ??

@@poterel probably by using the smallest picture size in p mode, then using full digital zoom on top of izoom. It says its that length but doesn't really seem like it. Plus the photos will be totally unusable. But nice for trying to make out distant objects.

Quality is pretty bad though. Best sticking to around 800mm as you run in all sorts of problems above that. I had one of these a couple of years back and when used within it's limitations, it was very good but you have to play to it's strengths. Traded it in for a FZ1000. Altogether a more accomplished camera.

It's not hidden, everyone knows that the digital zoom on ANY camera can't be used if you're shooting in RAW #clickbait #bullshit
