Thanks for providing such a fantastic detailed review! I'm planning on staying here this year and found your review to be the most helpful one on youtube in terms of what I can expect. I also appreciate you including how far the MRT and 7 Eleven is from the place. Do you remember if there is a supermarket nearby?

No problem at all! Doing all I can to help anyone out! Your comment really means alot! As for supermarket, there is none nearby but the nearest will be Bugis area or Suntec City. Might have to walk a little bit before getting there.

You can try Hotels around Clarke Quay! It has more night life over there, we reviewed Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay but would not really recommend at the moment haha, targeted to specific group of people. Perhaps you can try Paradox Hotel? Its just opposite the night life scene haha. Alternatively, Kampung Gelam has a couple of bars along Haji Lane! Which would mean this hotel hahaha

Is it a bit out of the way or easy to get around.. We want a hotel with a washing machine and this one is cheaper than the Ascott

Tbh for me it is, but its actually just a 5-8 mins walk to the nearest station, Bugis, which is one of the busier MRTs in Singapore. And at your doorstep is Kampung Gelam (malay heritage area of Singapore) to explore! So tbh, i would say it is rather okay 😂 i just dont love it 😂
