Pamela Frank Mini Masterclass - Ysaÿe 's Solo Sonata No. 4 (Geneva 2018)

Музыка

"Think of it as Bach with strange harmonies." Today we're studying Ysaÿe 's Solo Sonata No. 4 with Pamela Frank and Zhen Liu, recorded at the #Geneva2018 Competition. Pamela, the Chair of our jury, also talks about how to pace yourself when repeating motifs and performing Ysaÿe beautifully. A highly recommended watch for anyone studying Ysaÿe!

@@lukeanatol5512 I would love to study with her!!! I saw her perform the Bach violin and cembalo Sonatas a few months before CoVid hit; here in New York. Simply amazing. Do you know if she teaches privately? Let me know thanks

@@parism555 unfortunately they are very private.. It took me several weeks to even be able to find their email since their contact information is incredibly difficult to find online... I think they only took up my "case" because I have tried so many other ways to deal with my injury like physical therapy, rest, etc. however I've taken a look at your profile and I see you play viola just like me :) I suggest you go to your states symphony/orchestra website from there you will usually find a "meet the musicians" page you can take a look at all the wonderful violists in the orchestra and many times one will be available for private lessons.. you just have to keep searching for the right teacher Best of luck :)

First you have to get to Menuhin level before you even learn how to play violin.

New generation is so sensitive. She is teaching amazing things and actually so polite and just say him wait. He say, can you use another word. He should be appreciated that he is taking this lessons but he think that because of his family pay money for take a lesson, teachers are should be soooo kind. Its a work, what are you waiting? Everytime she sould use beautiful and kind words with carefully?
