I love Pam's portrait demo in Watercolor artist magazine winter 2024. Very instructive.

Thank you, Pam, this has really helped me understand about using brushstrokes in watercolor, something I've had trouble getting through my thick skull for a long time! ;-D You're a wonderful artist and such a charming person!

You said your painting on a hot press do you prefer hot press, or cold press for painting faces?

Is it just me or is there some other broadcast coming through behind Pams voice??!!!!???? Someone on her demo is listening to something else & it's coming through on her video!

Hadn't noticed that but one of the participants probably did not mute her mic...At some point it should have gone away....

Yes, I noticed the same. It’s a political podcast of some kind. Sounds like Tucker Carlson.

Love this tutorial ❤ When I look at the lips, they look a little too wide...cud be just my perspective!?!?. I always line up the the edge of lips with the eye iris or white or in adults the pupil etc.

Good question...my best guess is no....she may blend a few washes together, but using wet on dry...

Is the sketch available anywhere to give it a go ourselves?

I forgot to suggest that you could try grabbing a screen shot of the drawing...on a Mac, hold down the Command and Shift keys then press the number 4, then select the area of the screen you want and press return...

She just uses an ordinary printer since her workshop references are small..
