Wasted so many hours building my base so my Pals keep crossing the walls, getting stuck outside lol

Yeah just put em all back in the box and make sure the ones you have farming the materials have a storage right next to them as food close to them that helps a lot.

This game is amazing and more complete than most AAA games in the GOTY version. But it needs some more things in the build system: Railings, stair types, wall decorations, down-looking triangle walls, half walls, supporting pillars...

I made one of my bases at the seated Anubis Statue to the south (need heat resistance). Mostly surrounded by water with the only way to get at the base is across a single bridge. Put a gate on either side of the bridge and you have an easy choke point where you can slaughter raiders. It has a skill fruit tree right in front of the seated Anubis and access to sulfur.

Not one of my bases, but I turned off degradation outside of the circle so I have "outposts" all over. I am currently building connected castles on those floating platforms up around that waterfall. It's a super cool spot.

My first base house was an A frame, and it ended up looking like a Chikipi from the side by the time I was done building it and expanding, lol (was actually unintentional). Starting on my end game house now, which will be a castle. Thanks for the inspo.

If pathing was better I wouldn’t mind building a nice house but they just get stuck too much. I’ll stick to my open and flat layout for now

Use stairs as roofing, that's what I did with my first house (it is an A frame though). It looks nice, and they can just path right over it no problem.

yeah, seems like stairs a bit buggy for pathing. Roofs are the way to go for now.

@@Sentarry It does depend on what shape your house is, like I said mine is a A frame, so it works perfectly. Any other shape you would have to tweak it.

How do you people manage to get the defensive stone/wood walls in such perfect looking circles?? I can’t even manage to line them up straight for 3/4 fences

Use the blue line defining the limit of ur base. You draw on an existing line

I thought my basic base was cool then i watched this video. I have unlocked basically no base decorations.
