Gonna say I found a Lightweight Plasteel legendary schematic in a normal oil rig chest, not the large one. So my understanding is perhaps all oil rig schematics can be obtained in normal chests too, so don't skip them!

This is what I mean at 00:06 with the purple oil rig chests and 00:47 with big oil rig chest, weapons are from the big chest (1 per run), armor is from the purple (small) chests scattered around.

I wish the hardmode towerbosses could drop the weapon schematics of there gang

Nice. Soon as the bugs preventing me from getting these new weapons are fixed, I know where to prioritize.

Hey @The Pal Professor I've been looting A LOT of ammo and legendary schematics for single rifle, Shotgun and pistol. I get the new weapons as well but not as often. These legendary schematics comes at the second slot and i still get an aditionnal uncomon/rare/epic schematics for the newest weapons. It also happens that i use my single shot riffle to clear the oil rig (i just like it and baril explosion damage seems to scale of damage and distance) Do you have a lot of these too or is it because i use a lower tier weapon? Thx in advance for you answer even if you don't know

I'm assuming those legendary versions will be an absoloute nightmare for palsteel 😂😂😂😂😂

I think I need 23265 oil to craft the legendary items +1 of each structure, not including ammo.

The autosave time interval can now be modified in the menu options before starting a game!

@@keeperofrocks4618 Thanks, though I got lucky and just fixed it. Unsure what did it (aside from what appears to be a memory leak of or from the game after some new content) but I did the following: Broke every slanted glass rooftop at my bases, finished the new tower boss, restarted steam, verified game files, checked my directx is up to date, updated my computer in every way it let me, updated graphics drivers. Back to running 60 fps on epic settings with a prebuilt having a geforce rtx 2060 and such.

@@sigefry Did the oil rig successfully, I think the main issue is the game doesn't remove stored memory it no longer needs until you restart your computer or steam. Hence why my memory acted like it's overloaded when it shouldn't have been, game works fine for 6 hours at a time now.

Is the damage resistance bump worth the boredom waiting for the materials to craft for the armor? Tbh visually i prefer the palmetal armor.

So huh I've been spamming oil rig since this video I got 2 legendary pistols and 2 legendary shotgun schematics out of it But nothing from the last weapons/gear. I only have 1 epic, 3 rare schematics and something like 80+ uncommon Is there anything to increase these odds?

what's the refresh of the oil ring for the chest ?

Wow, these new weapons will be a nightmare to get. Only 1 at a time and as they are all in the same chest, the chance of getting the same scheme again will be great.

Yeah, I settled for the uncommon/rare variants, they are good enough for current content.

When ever I go to the oil rig there is only 1 gold chest it moves between3 locations. How do you get it to have more than one.

There is only 1 big chest per oil rig run. It has 4 possible locations.

​@@ProfessorPenking my second clear had 2 big chests during the same run, 2 days ago. Could have been a reset halfway through but I doubt it. (hasn't happened since, 10 runs deep or so)

Idk where is that place exactly, i try to find the same location but everytime i get kill

I can only believe it by watching and in the video he didn't drop a legendary scheme, although I also think that the drops come from that chest...

I have been grinding dungeons and oil rig for hours. These droprates are extremely low. have only droped the legendary flamethrower in a dungeon chest. Thankfully the chests in the oil rig spawn faster than the normal ones on the map

@@TropsPlays It is 1 in game day, I've camped the oil rig to see it myself. The 3 day time was a myth that spread during the first day.

@ProfessorPenking I've done the oil rig, went to sleep, came back, and there was nothing there until day 3. I'm 100% sure of this as I've grinded it out for hours and hours just doing oil rigs. Unless they changed it yesterday, then it's 3 days for me. Ps keep up the good work, professor🤜

I’ve genuinely resorted to savescumming to get these schematics. Get to the big chests, save and quit, load back in, open chest (hopefully without being detected by respawning enemies) alt f4 if I don’t get a legendary.

32 minutes. Not sure, I don't think day/night speed has an affect on the timer.

so 1% or less to get legendary,no wonder ive been farming dungeon none stop still no luck

Pov farm everyday like 8/10 oil rig since day 2 of the start of the dlc got 2 legendary print of assault riffle 1 shootgun 2 pistol 1 heat palsteel armor... Im so depressed...

I had to settle for uncommon quad launcher and rare gatling. Never got better in ~200 oil rig runs. I did get a legendary musket haha.

How long is it for the chests to respawn?

It takes one in game day for the chests to respawn. I cleared it just before night, slept during the night and went back just before night again the next day. You can also afk at the oil rig and they will respawn after 32min (default day/night time).

Hmm, chests do seem a bit broken. I’ve waited 3 days so far (after collecting all of them) and they still haven’t respawned. Normal game time Edit: They are working now, not sure why they weren’t at the time.

2 hours hiding behind the chest and ctl + alt + del to find THE MOST LEGENDARY WEAPON SCHEMATIC! Musket........

The lvl 52 Dungeons are a no go for me unfortunately, it crashes too often and aswell despawna the chests inside if the game crashes in said Dungeon, my only source is through the Oil Rig.

Multi guided missile launcher ??? I think that mistake became I don’t see that in game it all
