I was about to comment this and also make sure you have a grass and a water type. They will automatically plant and water the berries

At 4:55 the timer didn't just reset. You lost a unit from each stack

So long as the gameplay loop is engaging, I’ll gladly buy this since Gamefreak dropped the ball so hard in the last 8 years. If this does well, maybe it’ll force them to get their act together.

I think rather than gamefreak it's the Pokemon company not giving them resources to make better games. Why when they already make so much money? If gamefreak had it's way, I bet they'd make better games

You can tell it’s in early access, as it still is jank at times, but I’m having a blast with this title. Definitely worth your time

setting dead pals to work at the pal box then feeding them fully heals them instantly.

Caves are extremely useful. They have coal and sulfur nodes and the boss chests drop blueprints and accesories.

You can move food from one storage to another, and itll reset the timers

Thanks for the tip to get Lifmunk a gun, that little fluffball is a menace with that thing.

My Pals plant and harvest their own food and place it all inside the food stash to use. So I never have to worry about feeding them

you dont need to put dead pals in the palbox to heal them if theyre in your "team" and you sleep in your bed it recovers the ones on the team

If you hit the "Sort" button in your inventory, the food spoil timer resets. Keep your food eternally fresh until they patch it.

Everyone is calling it Pokémon with guns… now i’ve played it i call it ARK Pokemon edition 😅 even the research menu is the same 🤷‍♂️

Very good game though, Ark is a great game but adding pokemon makes it even better tbh

My food never went bad. Food proceeds to go bad in the video. You lose one food item everytime the timer completes.

Loving it so far. Two of my favorite genres in one. Only thing I wish it had is FPV.

10:43 Most caves have a room that contains multiple mining points of four different minerals: metal, paldium, coal, and sulfur. That last one is important because it's needed to craft gunpowder, which gets crafted into bullets.

I found that you can also refresh the inventory to reset food timers.

Are you sure you didn't lose an item of each food when the timer got to 0? lol.

Food goes bad but only one at a time in a stack, you can see that each expired stack has one less in it after the timer resets

You've never played ARK, have you? That's not how the spoilage works. It's a timer for 1 unit of your stack of food, the same as ARKs' spoliage function.

He is referring to the still unfixed bug where you can put an item with a timer in a different place (usually a storage box) and the timer will reset.

I'm enjoying this game so far.

I got an infinite berry farm cause gumoss seeds the plantation, penguin waters it then harvesting pal takes it and put into the feed box

The way this plays is basically what I wish was true for Ark in single player

9:44 apparently sleeping with the pal in your inventory heals/revives them.

The Pal Merchant will rarely have a Pal I haven't encountered yet, but yeah, it's usually just the common ones.

I've run into an issue on PC via game pass where the game doesn't know what buttons do what on the controller. I have yet to figure out how to get into disassemble mode

The pal is called lifmunk. Once you capture him, it should unlock that tech point.

It’s just a confusing UI. You don’t unlock every item in the row to unlock the Statue of Power - defeat the first boss and you’ll get a different type of Tech Point to spend on the Statue of Power.

So they were like, Monster Hunter world and Pokemon already have a following. So why reinvent the wheel?😅

How is it that a game like this can have extremely complex animations from the pokemon but in nintendo games the pokemon just stand there?

Because pokemon pretends that's what everyone wants. The formula worked when gaming was still in is adolescence, but technology has advanced so far that games like this were inevitable. It's now on Gamefreak to evolve or get lost in the times. In my honest opinion, I said years ago when the 3DS was at its peak, They should have just meshed Pokemon and Animal Crossing, the result would have been something they could have built on..

From my experience I don’t know from anyone else, Pals can not only sleep to recover health slightly faster aside from sanity but also they can bypass the 10 minute revive from the palbox.

The food timer isn't busted. The time is there for the first item in that stack. If you noticed that 2 turn into a 1 when the timer hit 0 you would have known that. I stopped watching the video after you didnt notice this and assumed the rest of the info would also be incorrect.

Bro everything you said I figured out within my first few hours of playing, I thought these would be useful tricks that weren't easy to notice/figure out...

By default they should attack what you do, but you can also press 4 on keyboard and it opens a radial menu for your party pals and you can set them to aggressive. There is also a bell tower you can build to do the same for the pals at your base. If you're playing on something else check the key binding menu for the "command menu"

Within the base during build mode encumbrance should be ignored. Or give us the ability to move objects after they've been place.

My lifmunk is a boss i caught, so i feel like it's going to break my neck 😂 I also didn't change any settings, because i want a challenge and not force easy mode.

U can just put away food or drop it to reset timer

If you throw your Palball at a pal from behind you will get a capture bonus.

I got the game on gamepass for $1 and its aight but i got bored quick since its more crafting than anything 😅

Yeah it feels like all I am doing is crafting in base and then maybe 10 minutes fighting. Definitely needs more to do to actually get you out of the base.

5:57 This Info is actually not true.... the Bar you see on the Fruit Basket is the Durability Status of the Fruit Basket. Yes, you need to Repair your Stuff.... because it breaks over time.

It's basically Pokémon, but in the US because even squirrels have guns. Huge difference to Japan... Less tentacles.

So people calling this Pokemon with guns are being misleading because this is obviously Ark survival evolved with mons instead of dinos
