This is absolutely superb i regard it as a national anthem if you feel low. I heard a little girl aged 4 sing it in a shop and she was so happy, which made me happy :)

i was a college sophomore in September of '69 when Cass Elliot released her original. It was and is a treasure. Just a heartfelt rendition by a woman who was different. And lovely, and too soon gone. Paloma's rendition is just as genuine and more urgently powerful in part because of the higher fidelity backing, especially the dominant and driving drums. Both performances are special, sincerely unfeigned. And both are to be cherished. I know the different and too often alone amongst most assuredly do.

I have a 3 year old son, who has autism, this song is our song for him 😊😊

No kidding Gary! Hands on the absolutely the Best tribute to Mamma Cass. I clearly remember Mamma Cass in my childhood. One very impressive voice and sadly shunned from popularity because of her weight.

Not really. She's older than Cass was when she died and Palomas voice is tonally akin to Cass. As for the music, it could have almost been lifted straight from the original. A good solid cover version.

Such a beautiful and inspiring song, Mama Cass was taken from us too soon, I’m so glad this wonderful song still lives on though despite it being it over 50 years old.

I know what you mean, I hadn't heard it in quite awhile and found it today, it was perfect timing. I feel like people are meant to truly hear this song when they're learning to accept themselves 💜 I know this comment was 3 years ago, but this resonated with me as much as the song did to be honest!

this is an absolute great cover version, Paloma Faith has got an awesome voice in my opinion and I think she nailed it!

I was very small when Mama Cass' original came out and growing up in stressed circumstances. My late sister, who was 17 years older and always had my back, used to sing this to me and it's been my fight song for ages. I'll always love the original, but onwards and upwards and this version is awesome. Thank you, Paloma Faith ❤

A stallion of a voice with power and range to spare, and her own backing vocals at the end make my chest swell.

I never would have thought that Paloma could do justice to this Mama Cass hit, but she surely does!

Mr. Lule I went to worst grade School in 70s All Nun teachers, no plays or Musicals, had to go to Church 1 a week even our Graduation was in a Church. Hey it was 70s lots of 8th graders were drinking Beer. 1 good thing 8th grade there was a girl that looked like Steavie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac. Some of us kids were going to Stadium concerts at age 15 70s were crazy City Buses let people smoke weed on the Bus. Not always fun being IRISH lots of people think were all Drunks, even today REDHEADS get Bullied. Some people think our Freckles are Bug Bites. Doesnt help most IRISH songs are about Drinking. IRISH Girls make great Drinking Buddys. It is True most IRISH like there Alcohol. I felt bad for Mom she gave birth to 8 boys. Not gonna Lie some of us liked our Alcohol. Not only that Mom side gave us kids 12 first cousins
