At 1:51 , before the interviewer interrupted the rep, the rep for PSA was about to mention what's special about the 15 round magazines is that it is a "Hybrid" design. Some parts metal, some parts polymer. The mag catch detent on the mag is made of plastic so you can still use OEM plastic magazine releases without damaging the mag release like how competitor's 15 round all metal mags would do. Tbh there was lots of other stuff this rep didn't mention in this video. I suggest you (the Interviewer if you're reading this) to let the reps completely talk about each product before saying remarks or asking questions. Otherwise really excited about all if PSA new products. Definitely love the direction and design philosophy they are coming up with. 🤙

I have a lot more faith in PSA's manufacturing than Shield Arms. There's a video floating around showing how wildly out of spec the external dimensions of the S15 mag, and how this most likely explains the reliability problems. Something tells me PSA's mags will work just fine a G43x without a special mag catch. This is what happens when you fail to address your product's shortcomings - someone else releases a better product and you lose big. Big win for PSA. Great company.

@@gsb5w291 by using partial polymer over mold they don't need the spline on the fore or aft of the mag like the Shield arms does to make up the space. that was alot of the issues Shield arms had with tolerances in manufacturing. Making the mag wider by removing polymer for more double stack was the easy part but they could not make the mag the full fore and aft length or they would have issues with the ammo as it would be too long. basically if one took a G99 mag and removed the polymer just on the sides and kept the fore and aft it can be used but not an easy task.( basically impossible) saw it done back when the 43X came out. but they removed all the polymer. I think except mag catch area.

The Dagger Micro looks great and with the 15 rounds that's a pretty sweet handgun. The Compact 5.7 looks much better than the previous years full size and much more useful as far as self defense goes. I never considered getting a 5.7, but with the compact 20 round version it is a bit more enticing. The Dagger SWCH is really nice. I carry a CZ P01 so I'm a fan of being able to change our side grip panels to make the grip fatter or change color for aesthetics, as well as a fan of metal handguns. This is basically the metal Glock a lot of Glock fans always wanted. Very nice. I appreciate all of PSA's efforts on this years line.

That's interesting. The Micro Dagger debuted at SHOT Show last year with a Trijicon RMRcc rear iron sight forward. No sign of the RMRcc this year. That's a little worrisome. It would appear the Micro Dagger MRDS cut is considerably deeper than the Compact Dagger MRDS cut which is only 0.103" deep.

@@Ripper13F1V Same here. $100 rebate. The "problem" with the Trijicon RMRcc is the footprint is proprietary. I'm not sure there's another slim MRDS using that footprint. Of course, there are oven a dozen MRDS's compatible with the Trijicon RMR footprint. PSA described the current Micro Dagger footprint as the "Shield pattern". If it directly accepts a Holosun HS407/507K-X2 and EPS Carry, I assume it's a modified Shield RMSc footprint with the rear index posts removed and the front index posts ground down (or removed altogether). Let's keep our fingers crossed that the Micro Dagger is offered with the RMRcc footprint, possibly beyond the initial release.

  • @wickedbeernut

@@LetsgoBrandon2023 If it were cut for RMSc (like OEM Glock Slimline MOS), a Holosun HS407/507K-X2 and EPS Carry wouldn't attach directly without modification to the footprint or an adapter plate. The RMSc footprint has four index posts. This must be a modified RMSc footprint. PSA is calling it the "Shield pattern" (like they call the Dagger Vortex Venom footprint the Doctor [sic] Cut). Clearly, it shares the RMSc mounting screw hole pattern, but not the index posts (the front index posts could be ground down, but the rear index posts must be removed).
